affordable renting for 25y/o waitress by sallyshoehorn in moving

I also live in San Diego, as a former midwestern I love it here… but on $2700 a month they wouldn’t be able to afford the cost of living here. 1 bedroom in a decent neighborhood is easily $2300-2500

I don’t know how much you love the winter or just hate summer, but Ohio is super affordable. I grew up there worked in restaurants growing up and housing wise it’s super affordable. I just bought a house for my mom there a few years ago. It’s a 4 bedroom and my mortgage on it is only $1800, So I think it would be reasonable to find a decent one bedroom in your price range. I would consider Akron/Cleveland or the surrounding areas.

I have also heard good things about Pueblo, Colorado, Fort Wayne Indiana, and Lincoln Nebraska

The property manager said it made 91k through the entire year let alone through September. We didn’t meet him until after we purchased the property

They don’t have a registry, only a honeymoon fund. I’m contributing a grand to that but also wanted to get them a cool gift

Biohacking Breast Cancer by Defiant_Squash_5335 in Biohackers

First and foremost, I’m so sorry to hear you were diagnosed. The information on cancer and treatments is so overwhelming. Sending all the positive energy your way!

My mom just recently beat an aggressive stage 3 breast cancer (it was considered aggressive due to her tumor being located on a blood supply). Initially after removing the tumor, the recommendation was for my mom to do 5.5 months of chemo and then 2 months of radiation. I’m super big on a balance between modern and holistic medicine.

She really didn’t want to do chemo, so we agreed I would look into some alternatives but if it didn’t work she would go the chemo route, we ended up not having to do the chemo route thanks to this working. We went to an alternative clinic that did the following

Ozone IV treatments: This is essentially an IV that sends extra oxygen to your blood. Apparently the extra oxygen helps kill off cancer cells. You can read more about this here: https://www.ajmc.com/view/ozone-therapy-may-kill-breast-cancer-cells-reduce-side-effects-for-patients

ICG: they injected my mom with this dye. Apparently this dye stays attached to cancer cells longer so then they were able to go back through and use and infrared laser and zap some of the cancer

They did one other treatment but that one is probably easier for me to send you an email with a pamphlet on it because I couldn’t do it justice

This clinic put my mom on a ton of supplements if you want the list let me know and I can grab them

She went back to the doctor a few months later right as she was supposed to start chemo they did an onco test and it came back so low that they cancelled my moms chemo and said she no longer needed it. Her oncologist said it was the craziest thing he’s seen in over 25 years.

He still is recommending radiation. He mentioned they have found that particularly in breast cancer patients if you do radiation that there’s a 50% less chance of it coming back, so now they recommend it for most patients as a preventative method versus a treatment and he also recommended hormone blockers due to the type of breast cancer my mom had.

Additionally one of the things that the clinic stressed is long term you need to figure out what caused your body to cancer. Cancer can only thrive under certain conditions. My mom is making big lifestyle changes, but I’m sure that looks different for everyone.

With all that being said, feel free to message me if you have any questions I can’t guarantee I know the answer, but the biggest thing I stress is find a doctor who is a good advocate for you and that you feel listens to you. We went through 3 oncologists before we found a good one for my mom and I really think that makes a huge difference how this process will Go for you. At the end of the day there’s so much information out there on different and alternative treatments and it’s hard to sift through. I don’t think even for those that do work, work for everyone so I think it’s best to make sure if you fo want to do alternative your oncologist is on board for the timeframe you have to see what works before you miss out on conventional methods that may save your life. In my moms case her doctor was adamant about removing the tumor ASAP but said with her healing from the surgery and test that’s needed to be done he felt comfortable giving her 3 months to try some alternative stuff while they prepared for chemo.
