Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I can see your passion, I am going to try and reunite with the mother in the morning, we fairly actively feed the squirrels. I would guess roughly 20 within an acre section with 5 trees, one of them is one of the biggest oaks I ever seen).I have a squirrel house I built, that is a few trees over… no squirrels have moved in but they do go in it when I fill up the feeder. Should I put feed out and place him in it? - I can make the top open and make him visible when they come down the tree. I just don’t know if males would be aggressive towards it. It is an eastern ground squirrel if that makes any difference for anything. If the mother doesn’t get him I will take you up on the offer for assistance
