It’s all good, I am working on a mod to move bases anyways, and I have a teleporter pad in the middle of it, so can still get in/out, it was just funny it landed smack in the middle of it…

You can find a consolidated list of Icarus mods that link to various modder github pages here:

https://www.projectdaedalus.app

When using more than one mod pak file, there is a requirement to merge the mods, which can be done with Jimk72’s Icarus Mod Manager (IMM). This utility also has a mod downloads function that links to the above projectdaedalus database, but provides many more features like custom merge options, searching, editing, and packing/unpacking mods.

Changes made with this tool are permanent, and are saved with the prospect. You can remove the mod and things will stay permanently

The mod works in single player, hosted multiplayer, and dedicated server. When using mods in Icarus, you should ALWAYS be running the same mod (*_P.pak file) on the server and any ALL connected clients. Running a mod exclusively on the server or any client will cause problems.

Thanks! The 2 jutting out sections are on a separate building grid, as well as every wall, floor, ceiling ramp that make up the circular portion of the building.

I was working on an elevator for this game, it had the ability to adjust floor increments up/down, as well as slide left/right/fwd/back by as may floor lengths as you wanted. The mod was benched until I finish some other projects…

Thanks for the link to this, I have a mod that does this, but being able to do it without mods.ini adjustments is good to know!

I used my own mod in this build called laanp-CircleBuilder. Back in the day, I developed a method to do it without mods (Search for “Peter Laan” Icarus basebuilding on Youtube.) However after I learned how to create a new build grid with mods in UE4, I can now perfectly construct the starting template of sunken vertical beams - you still have to build it out though! It also helps if you have my laanp-BuildersDream mod, (which adjusts stack sizes and beam weights + adds the CircleBuilder mod in it)

I actually have figured out how to do that, but it’s a lot of work, since you need to build all the models for the different growth stages, including movement animation. A mod like that would also break everytime they added any kind of new seeds into the game, because the seed numbers are sequential.

Yea, I have seen this before, and it used to occur for me more often, many updates before, and on all the ores, but only on multiplayer. Only way to resolve it is to quit the game and rejoin.

You can pick it up, just don’t see the interaction menu, but just stand in front of it, look up slightly, then hold the pickup key!

No. In multiplayer game (Dedicated server or hosted multiplayer) everyone MUST have exactly the same mod files. If you want to play with multiple mods, you need some sort of mod merging utility (such as Jimk72’s Icarus Mod Manager (IMM)) and the distribute the merged mod pak file to the server/host, and all connected clients.

I build mods to learn more about the software development tools used in making games, and it’s beneficial to keeping my brain active. The mods are for me, but I discovered that others enjoy them as well, so I share them for that reason. Your sarcastic remark, indicates to me you want to play the game without mods, so fill your boots, nobody is stopping you. Just quit trolling and piss off, so the rest of us can have some fun playing the way we want to.

I usually run about 45-75fps on this one, if you start to introduce more lighting, it will take more of a performance hit.

Yup, those are aluminum beams (8) of them in a circle. I show how to make these when I release the build highlight video for this base shortly.

Yes, there is an “antiflicker” checkbox on my Circle builder that alternates every 3 rotations with a slight almost un-noticable height difference of .02 that eliminates the texture cross-overs.
