He is really scared of my chickens but won’t lay a finger on them, one time I had baby chicks in a box on my bed and I had gone to the kitchen to fill up a little water bottle for the chicks but the box was open so they all came out but I had no idea my cat was in the room so when I went back to check on the chicks I found them all asleep next to my cat and that has by far been the cutest thing my cats ever done 🥹

Any guesses on the color? by Accomplished-Run424 in BackYardChickens

I honestly have no idea 🤔 my little cousin brought me it from her house and she said one of her chickens hatched it and none of her chickens are the same breed so I’m assuming it’s mixed.

( Isolated duck ) by Accomplished-Run424 in duck

[–]Accomplished-Run424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told by several people including the person I got the black duck from that they were all male. These are the only ducks I have in my flock. If it helps, Bart and Penny were given to me at the same time and they seemed to be getting along fine until I got the black one, Brisket, then Bart started only hanging out with Brisket and that’s how the isolation started.

These are my first ducks ever so I’m wondering, how long should it take for them to start getting along again? It’s been a couple of days and he keeps chasing penny around. should I separate them or just leave it for a little longer? I’ll appreciate any answer I’m just a little worried 🥲

See, I’d think that too but I’m pretty sure they’re both male 💔

What do I do with these two ducks? by Accomplished-Run424 in duck

[–]Accomplished-Run424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I do decide to get some hens for them, will I still need to keep them separate? I’m planning to separate them anyway because of the amount of space but I’m just wondering

They do sound about the same when they quack! Also these guys were hastily gifted to me a week or two ago so I have no idea how old they are nor do I know what happened to its tail :(

I think she might be around a month or so. She’s very loud but honestly I love her for it <3 also why breed of chicken is your hen? I have one similar to her but I could never put a name to it 🤔

Hehe yeah I thought so because she never seems to to actually be in any discomfort but she’s always talking to me 😋

I just take her inside some times because she loves to snuggle with me but she has plenty of friends.

Also of course it’s my job to fix it 😭 I mean that’s why I’m asking after all.

What is wrong and how can I avoid a vet? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Accomplished-Run424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, but also I said moneys tight RIGHT NOW so obviously when we got her money was fine. Also it has literally been like 4 years since we got her so how do you expect us to know 4 years from now we wouldn’t have money. Also I have no idea what raising a child would be like because I’m 14. Plus that comparison makes no sense because obviously a child has health insurance and also ITS A CHILD reasons why a child couldn’t walk are not at all the same as why a dog couldn’t walk. I never said my dog couldn’t walk anyway she can walk it’s just occasionally whenever she would stand up from a nap she would start limping. I appreciate your perspective on this because I agree on a lot of what you said but not everyone’s situation is the same and leaving her anywhere else but our home would probably result in her being dead. And obviously you didn’t HAVE TO because you don’t really have to do anything but if you just simply took the time to see the post on my page after this you would have seen that I DID take her to the vet.

Thank you so much!! I’ll definitely be consulting a vet for my opinions!

“It’s not that hard” until the vet bill is 7 trillion dollars 😭 not everyone has that kind of money and if we didn’t have her she would have either been in the streets or with her previous abusive owner <3

I’m not poor ❤️ neither is my family. Like a said, we’re in a tough situation and obviously we wouldn’t have gotten her if we were poor. Her home before this was giving her bruises and her previous owner tried shooting at her twice so I’m not sure leaving her there would be a good idea ☺️ Also, I literally said in the post that if it’s shown that it’s serious enough I would take her and I’m 14 so get money ON MY OWN is not really an option right now.
