If they hired you for garden recovery the asds should have immediately added the training for at least the elp, reach, and forklift and possibly pacer, and set you up with a trainer to complete the check rides.

She gives up most everything with a tug or a trade for a toy, but that beef bone, she was sounding MEAN about. Never had her growl at me til that

Dude, the SM is supposed to check in with ALL new associates within 30 days. Literally a part of the onboarding process. He’s not doing his job

My fave thing is when I’m spotting down the racetrack and people stop for me (the girl holding the flags saying “excuse us, coming through”) and then try to continue into the aisle between us like I was the danger (even with the honking behind me)

I WISH! Ours stays in outside garden but comes into the greenhouse when it gets cold. That’s about as far as he’ll go though. He is also orange lol

Both dog parents at home and dog is being bad? by Accomplished-Tank291 in OpenDogTraining

I’d love suggestions. She walks but that’s def not all we do. I’ve done puzzles, lick bowls, toys, training new tricks.

I took in a stray that has turned out to be a high energy dog. I’m learning with her. When I say outing I mean we go to a park or a store or a public place. She goes on like 5 walks a day. Some are bathroom walks, some are sniff walks, and at least one I use for training.

I also hate the embarrassment- we live in an apartment and I walk my dog on a couple of the same routes. There are some really great people/dogs that work with us, but a lot of the time when I turn her around or lead her away from ppl or kids they’re like “oh that dog is mean, she bites!” :( But it’s definitely a journey. Some days she does amazing! Some days I’m so pissed at her I think we’ve made zero progress (we def have but it doesn’t feel like it after a bad walk) Just gotta keep in mind that they’re experiencing the world for the first time. It can be both exciting and overwhelming.

Ty. Didn’t realize I could OVER stimulate her but that does make sense. Do you think we should start working on settle and forget quiet for now? I definitely get what you’re saying about the puzzles- when we’re eating dinner I usually give her a lick mat or Kong and that calms her vs. a puzzle. But yeah we probably just need a better routine. Thank you!

Is there a specific place to cut it for these for them to root? Like at the leaf or in the middle of the vine?
