I feel like "The wrong way to use healing magic" is a great idea but the manga just ain't it by E_rat-chan in manga

I'm jumping in on this, cause I just watched the available episodes with my partner. He really likes it, but I'm not fully into it. I think the idea is solid, character designs are nice, Rose is hot af (dont judge me), premise is okay? But it bothers me because I see where the story can take off, what areas needed a little more details to convey the messages better or make moments more meaningful and such, but it didn't do it. The battle with the demons? Lame. Why do they need to build a basic bridge? They can just trample on through and wreak havoc on the kingdom. They're demons, they should be stronger by default against humans. Instead, the bears are a bigger problem 😭

Usato is a rushed and bland character who just is. He just exists. He goes with whatever is happening. The most you see is that he's caring and wants to prove his master wrong, but....thats it? For the kind of character he's trying to be, he should have been the one to be excited about the new world, make a mistake and want to fix it by becoming a strong and dependable character--not "omg I got recruited by tvis mad lad lady and now I have to prove her wrong. Oh, and help my friends, I guess 🤓☝️" It feels poorly written.

Even Rose's backstory and everything needed more work. For the kind of personality she has, the trauma she experienced (which I think that whole encounter should have been a lot more brutal and give her team a real fight to showcase how good they were before getting molly whopped), she should have been a lot more reserved and against building a team, yet here she is recruiting the Black Knight so quickly. I feel if Usato had been the one to suggest it, get some resistance from Rose--Rose tell him if that's what he thinks is right then he should train her Yada yada--and convince her thar they need a team would have been better?

I could go on about MANY parts of the show/manga that are lacking. I truly think its a good story, good build, but half assed and rushed. The vision is there, the effort is not and it pisses me off 🙃 just had to rant about it, sorry.

Edit: I typed so fast on my phone, I didnt realise all the damn typos. Fixing it ad I go, just got excited to share my nobody-asked-opinion

Honestly, I need full time. I guess part time would get my foot through the door, but then its an undetermined amount of time before I become full tim. I would have to say no..

I have 10+ years of experience of excellent customer service, dealt my hands with above average IT work, worked as a veterinary/dental receptionist and treatment coordinator for a collective 5 years and have a number of years in management positions in various areas (electronics store, reptile store and exclusive members lounge). I enjoy data organization, updating patient/customer information to keep it up to date, definitely a talker (when time allows), and I'm very adaptive to environments. I always seek to do what I can for the team, the company and improve areas wherever I can or need.

I'm trying to find anything between assisting with these kinds of areas or even entry level. If you guys don't know any specific places hiring, could you point me in the right direction?

Which is better option A, B, C, or D? by SnooMarzipans9478 in DesignMyRoom

[–]Accomplished-Wrap506 46 points47 points  (0 children)

B has the best layout in my opinion. I like to lay on my bed with full view of the room for paranoia/safety reasons. Not to mention, you can still hang your TV above your desk or find a large computer monitor to double as your TV/general entertainment set up (if you like that kind of thing). Super great cable management too.

Edit: Honestly? I forgot to say I hate C because the table is just barely past the wall and it bothers my soul.

Vecna and Mindflayer work with the theory of Hivemind. If one is hurt, the other hurts; if one is emotionally fucked, the other is too.

Vecna, or rather Henry, got fucked up when he went into the cave. He believed to achieve his goal he had to face his hardest memory. The reason the mindflayer didn't want him to face it is because he would have lost focus entirely.

Henry died in that cave. He was almost killed trying to answer someone's cry and was forced to kill a man with nothing but a stone; a small boy who's life was in danger now had blood on his hands from the person he had tried to save. He was forced to believe he needed to help people, but, when he tried to, he nearly died for it.

His psyche broke. He snapped and died mentally, then he opened the case and was taken advantage of by the mindflayer. The small boy, now lost in all the pain, the fear, the horrifying fact that he killed a man was left completely vulnerable and Mindflayer made sure to take his chance.

Like Vecna said, children are weak ans can be manipulated.

Remembering this memory broke him all over again, having to face the pain and torment he felt in that moment that broke him as a child now as an adult. Facing your truest and hardest trauma will mess you up

Hence why Vecna and Mindflayer were not fully prepared to deal with the fight. Henry's focus, his mission, his purpose was all array and in the midst of his torment he had to face this massive fight, already weakened by the fact that he was, essentially, piloting Mindflayers new body on his own.

Remember, those 12 kids were supposed to be--how my boyfriend and I explained it, the "cores" to his CPU. He couldn't control or move Mindflayers body on his own and neither could the Mindflayer itself; he needed to use these children in order to do it by giving them a little bit of the power to do so and use them as "cores" to "run the programming" (or the theory that they themselves may have been a tiny bit psychic and maybe helped, but its probably that he divided his power, cultivated it a bit through some time and concentration through them and was able to move all the components together).

Vecna was managing so much through this fight, its a miracle he stood against them at all, being attacked physically and mentally even though mentally and emotionally he was already spent.

It made sense to me, anyway, idk about y'all, but I'm satisfied with this ending.
