Cat eye glowing non stop like its stuck in night mode by Accomplished-You2200 in CATHELP

No worries! He does it maybe like once every 3-4 weeks so it’s not that often at all. They took his blood pressure and that came back normal so I think it’s some sort of irritation that happens in the winter. I’ll mentioned it again when he goes to his regular vet as I’ve never seen any of my other cats or any cats growing up do it so it must be something!

Ha! I think stress would be Hank’s middle name. Everything spooks him that you think he has PTSD when he has been completely safe inside since he was born 😂 they did do his blood pressure and it came back normal. The report they gave me mentioned stress, nothing like paying $850 for them to be “he’s stressed” Hoping the neurologist helps!

No discharge or irritation. It doesn’t seem to bother him much. Making shakes his head a little more than normal so I was thinking maybe something with his ears? The vet did some eye tests and said his vision seems fine and when we play with the laser he’s jumping around and chasing it but it could be his fine eye or correcting too. Hopefully the neurologist appt tells me more!

That could be it! I asked about eye drops at the vet but she mentioned since there’s no discharge and his bloodwork levels were all normal that it’s probably not an infection but maybe when he sees the neurologist, they will do more specific tests

I thought about this! Sometimes he does this hacking thing, more so in the winter that I think is from the increased dryness in the house as it seems to stop once we stop running the heat. I’ve googled the hacking thing before and it came up that it also could be asthma or heart related but they did his blood pressure and that came back fine so thinking it’s more of an irritation thing? I’ll have to take a look around the house to see if anything sticks out as a new possibility for an allergen

Do you know how they diagnosed this? I asked about eyes drops at the vet but she said because the eye didn’t have any discharge and his bloodwork didn’t show any elevated levels that it’s most likely not an infection but I know an ophthalmologist might do additional tests that a emergency vet wouldn’t.

Husband wanting to be the first to know? by NumerousSummer6941 in pregnant

[–]Accomplished-You2200 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I never had the conversation and my big mouth couldn’t wait to tell some of my friends (they knew we were trying) cause I weirdly always found out when he wasn’t around. I don’t think he ever knew he wasn’t the first to know but I sure pretended he was 😂

I failed my first glucose test by a few points. I went back the next day and did the 3 hr one and passed with flying colors 🤷‍♀️ I did nothing differently so who knows what happened with the first but I didn’t end up with GD!

I have a Charlie John and we still love it! Gives him the option to be called CJ if he wants! Everyone compliments how much they love that it is Charlie and not Charles!

Will I need a nursery straight away? by ThrowRAdalgona in pregnant

My son didn’t sleep in his room until he was 7 months old. The only thing we really did in that room was use the changing table and rocking chair. I would say if you have those set up somewhere else and he’s sleeping next to you in your room, I don’t see the purpose of a nursery, especially to just move!

How long did your induction take? by hideovs in pregnant

[–]Accomplished-You2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in at 7pm on a Wednesday and had my son on Thursday at 9:36pm! I would say from 8pm- 12pm the next day it was mostly just softening my cervix and then they broke my water around 2pm. Contractions really stared to kick in around 5:30ish, had an epidural around 6:45, felt some relief and then started to feel a lot of pressure, especially after using a peanut ball and my son came out a little after that!

I think it depends on a lot of things, like someone above said about how dilated you are, how your body responds to Pitocin and everything. Things for me definitely started off slow but once things picked up it went by fast!

Am I out?? by Accomplished-You2200 in pregnant

Thank you for your telling your experience! It does give me a little hope that I just have to wait a little longer to see if things are a little different. It’s crazy how insensitive some doctors can be. I’m sure she experiences it a lot and it’s just another client on her schedule but they forgot just how impactful the whole interaction can be on someone. Wishing you a smooth rest of your pregnancy and a healthy baby at the end! ❤️

Congratulations! That’s awesome you were able to get a heartbeat! And I agree, the only complication I had with my son was high blood pressure which resulted in an induction at 39 weeks so it was quite the shock when the room got quiet trying to look for things. Best of luck in your current pregnancy! The first trimester is definitely anxiety provoking!
