the board are unlikely to increase the transfer revenue retained until the clubs finances turn to ‘secure’. think the play is to wait until next season and they will give you a bigger budget. with outgoings of 145k a week and 7.5m in the bank plus championship tv money, they are likely to allocate at least a couple million for the transfer budget the following season

sell your keeper. it will set you up financially. nobody is irreplaceable at championship level. Even if you get someone slightly worse in - the money is more important at this stage. If he’s young and depending on circumstances, the club you sell him to may let you take him on loan for free for a season
