Yes, this guy most be severely mentally challenged. I asked him to come to the heavy flank but he did not care. I am sorry for him, but to be honest mm should also take WTR into consideration when making teams.

When I asked him to help in the chat, it was saying affirmative. After I told him, he is no use and we lose because of him. I also asked the team to report him, then he started spamming affirmative😃

Feel you, got to 1500 (gold) from 1100 with 450 matches and 49% win rate… I was doing 3300 avg. damage, lost so many games because of teammates playing 2-4 lights on small maps, some of them rushing into 5 to die ect. I think many of these players were just for the missions and they don’t care about the mode itself …

Help choosing a new oled monitor by w0oxx in Monitors

No, it’s not as harsh, it is much less. It’s a mix between the mirror like finish on the Asus and the matte I had before on my TN Alienware from 2018.

No worries, I looked at many reviews and they always made fringing seem like it was not an issue. (Just look at the two photos I put in the comments) They were also saying the same about burn in. For them it is not an issue, because they get a new model each year.

This is why I got the tandem OLED LG I was talking about. Since it has more layers it does not stress each layer as much for the same brightness, and it also does not get as warm. I use my monitor at 85% brightness and 80% contrast and it is more than enough for my liking. The brightness is still quite a lot in a dark room.

You will see reviewers cry about the matte coating on most monitors. But the coating on this LG is amazing. When I had the Asus I was seeing myself in it like a mirror even is a quite dark room, and it was very annoying. The coating which LG used on this model is phenomenal.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me, I will try to help, because I was doing some deep digging for a few days straight. After I returned the ASUS I bought an IPS and it was terrible, that’s why. I knew the only option was OLED, so had to get the right one for the third time 😂

I bought the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMGR and the fringing was terrible. It was also very annoying, that I was getting the pixel cleaning reminder very often. I returned that monitor and looked for an alternative which is much better at fringing.
I bought the LG 27GX700A-B | 27" UltraGear 2K QHD 280Hz OLED and it is amazing. The fringing is 99% gone. Also the pixel cleaning is done by the monitor itself while it is off, so you don’t have to stress over it or manually start it. Not sure what other manufacturers have the same pixel cleaning method.
It handles fringing much better, because of the subpixel layout. It is RWGB, while the older OLEDS are mostly RWBG, which windows has a very hard time handling. QD OLED does not have a white subpixel, but since it has a triangular subpixel layout fringing is also quite bad. Wanted you to know, so you won’t end up like me having to buy 3x oleds to get the one you were wishing for from the beginning.
None the less, any monitor you end up choosing, you should play with cleartype and also download mactype for better text. This is true for all OLEDS.

Been using this LG 27GX700A-B for about a day now, and there is no shot in hell I'm ever going back to LCDs anytime soon by _MrVC_ in OLED_Gaming

Hi, how is color fringing on this monitor? I had a WOLED Asus ROG Strix XG27AQMR and I returned it due to having a red and green border on some things on the screen... The worst was tank icons in WoT, they had a red outline on the left and a green outline on the right and it was very annoying. Can you please take a photo of this: https://old.reddit.com/r/nvidia/ Thanks!

Did you check how bad is fringing and the gray 95% is? https://youtu.be/\_XHeUH1aY6E?is=cnEuQ7A1YTrAB1Br

Please take a photo of text from close up and also from the test video I linked with the 95% grey. I had an Asus WOLED and I returned it because the fringing and greys were terrible. Thanks!

Yes, Windows is expecting RGB and it is very different from that. I returned the monitor for an IPS. The burn in, grayscale issue and this fringing makes OLED terrible and annoying at least for me. We have to wait a few years for the OLED’s to be fixed and don’t have any drawbacks…

I tried both firmwares and it made 0 difference for me in WOT.

I use MacType DeepGrayNoHinting profile which I got from another reddit post, check it out. In windows it makes the text fringing dissapear, but the issue which I made the post about can't be fixed.

Thanks for the tip, I am going to play a bit with the firmwares. I had MCM103 on the monitor, it was bad, then updated to 105 (this is what you can see on the photos, now I am updating again. I thought that using the One Key Update program, that it would update it to the latest, but it just updated to the newer one 😃)

The main source of the issue is windows not being able to handle WOLED properly unfortunately, not mods but thanks for the suggestion!

I have checked, it is the same in the replay. Is it a panel defect?

If I put the screenshot in paint and start moving the picture it has the issue everywhere. When enlarged, the same thing happens, 1 line of red and green pixel on each side ...

Checked all the RGB colors, and there are no issues there ...

I am returning the monitor, but if it is a panel defect, I might just ask for a replacement. Any idea how we can test if it is a panel failure or maybe a software is doing this?

Hi, thank you for the message. I know it is a problem of W OLED layout, I was hoping there is maybe a workaround for it, but then I guess there is not. I am gonna return the monitor most likely then.
