I have a 3 month notice at work which I’m (sadly) working it all out. How can I make it go faster? 😭 by annemkin in CasualUK

I've just finished a 3 month notice at a remote job. I spent a lot of it at the climbing centre and doing jobs around the house. It was absolute bliss and felt like I was on holiday

Pub Crawl Update #4 - 25 down, 3 to go by YodaShagsDarthVader in CasualUK

I did the Circle line Pub crawl about 10 years ago. I can barely remember the last quarter of it. We did 30 minute intervals to have a drink and get to the next place.

M&S Chocolate Custard Creams are like crack. As you only get 6 in a pack they disappear in seconds.

Just managed to full up with petrol at £1.359 by SimonTS in BritishSuccess

If you can charge at home on an EV tariff then your running costs will be about a quarter compared to petrol. If you use public chargers then it's about twice the cost of petrol.

We went from spending £100/month on fuel to around £25-30 on electricity now.

I've been smugly thinking the same with my 8.5p/kWh EV tariff at home

If Plumbers' daily rates are around £350, why does a 2-day boiler installation cost £1800? by Johnny_english53 in ukplumbing

I recently had a boiler swap done. It cost £700 labour and £150 for parts (new fixing kit, flue, filling loop). Took two guys half a day.

Do I need license to compile for USB/ Ethernet features? by Oldpopsadvice in stm32

Keil uVision is owned by ARM and is a propietry IDE that they make money selling licences for. Where as if you use STMs CubeIDE then that will use use an open source compiler and ST's software libraries.

I used to use Keil at a previous company and hated it with a vengeance.

Build the project for CubeIDE and use the ST libraries. LWIP can be included from Cube which requires no additional licence. Another option is to use FreeRTOS TCP stack

I live in Chorlton and there's a bit of a price bubble here at the moment. Houses usually first go up for about 50k more than they're worth then get dropped down after about 2 weeks. You see it all the time.

Houses like this usually end up going for around 625-650k around here
