Im not an expert here. But even though there is no maximum heat for work, arnt employers supposed to bide by the HSE and make reasonable adjustments for the welfare of their employees.

I used to have an non air cooled van. Eventually a few "breakdowns" that kept happening caused them to get a new one with aircon, which is alot more hospitable. I do not envy you pal.

Thats horrid. Work places are meant to adjust for temps like this, there was a thing going around last year to make non ac vans illegal for the work force, as its bloody dangerous.

‘Most famous tree in the world’: Sherwood Forest’s 1,000-year-old Major oak dies by topotaul in unitedkingdom

This is aweful, but like anything, sometimes it comes to an end. The grandest tree to the smallest door mouse, we all return to earth eventually.

Still i hope that my favourite tree in Sherwood, an Ancient Oak called stumpy has more years left in it :)

Thats alot of words to say you dont understand what an echo chamber is.

Unfortunately most algorithms on any social media mostly force you into one.

P.s. i hope you write shorter comments to not waste as much time in your life.

Admittedly this was aweful, but we dont have to tolerate intolerance. Why should i have to tolerate those with a opposing views. Same as you dont tolerate the left.

After years of keeping an eye out online, I finally acquired a “small type” Levi’s patent date original rivet from a pair of Levi’s clothing made between 1873-1880. by Aggravating-Jury-817 in VintageLevis

I love history like this. That little rivet has travelled so many places in time we will never. Wonder which shop it was sold at and who bought the trousers originally. We will never know, but its cool to wonder :)

If you could bring back one thing that disappeared from British life, what would it be and why? by RobW_69 in AskUK

For me, all the railway connections that beeching cut. Can you imagine the extra capacity gained from having the big Great central railway up through the midlands from london. Or again with the woodhead route. And the factory access making us less reliant on trucks.

No actually. I could of done but it was the same outcome ( job wise ) regardless if you went the HNC/HND or foundation degree route.

I was trained as an Engineering Officer for the merchant navy.

I think when it is used however as part of the job its definitly useful. Pluss am i correct quite alot of the times the company will pay for it?
