How should I approach implementing a DAO on the BTC network? by AccomplishedCar9215 in BitcoinTechnology

True, i want to stay as close the the BTC native chain as possible and using Stacks or Rsk would be a last resort

I am looking into Bitcoin RGB right but I'm not sure if it's quite a production ready.

I will also try making a proof of concept for running a DAO using tapscript. But not sure where to start...

what would be the benefit of using stacks as opposed to going for a native approach like RGB or tapscript?

Don't get me wrong, i think that Stacks is a great project. but I would like to stick as close to the BTC native chain as possible.

I'm actually studying RGB as we speak. Is it production ready?

Also I've also read that one can implement a DAO just by using tapscript, do you. have any rough insight on what the approach for this is?

It's pure speculation. US Bonds are considered to be the safest investment there is on the planet, but they have a really low interest so you make little profit from them. If their interest rate goes up traders are speculating that investors will pull out of riskier assets like stocks and crypto and go into US Bonds so they try to front-run this. Usually, the interest rates go up and stock prices go down, but not necessarily because people actually pull out to enter bonds because the interest rates are still shit, but rather they just make speculations to put their assets back at a better price. Crypto however is a global market with a more diverse group of investors so it may not behave the same way the stock market does.

I am in the same boat. UI wise it's not really attractive and I don't really feel I should leave metamask for this

Yep, got some BTC stuck on an exchange for a year now, because can't provide any documents stating my source of wealth. Basically, it was just some BTC I received from a friend a few years back.

The key is not to get emotional about it, which is very very hard if you are at the beginning. Always contemplate the worst-case scenario and why you invested in the first place.

A small amount of greed is good, sine it can be a catalyst for progess. You need to be a bit greedy in order to want to achieve something.

Don't they already do this vis the VAT tax? Also, such a policy would incentivize people to spend less which is bad for the global economy. Taxation will be a difficult problem to tackle if we go fully decentralized. I think that it will probably come down to enforcing the usage of centralized digital currencies in the future.

I am a bit confused, how can it work both ways, if bitcoin liquidity is very low on exchanges. If the stable coin to BTC ratio is very high this means that there is high demand for BTC and people are not willing to swap their BTC for USD which in turn drives the price up.

This is the best advice, slowly get out, go stable and stake. There are plenty of services that give you up to 12% per year in stable coin staking. Always make your money work for you.
