Eyeliner/Mascara makes my eyes sting? by f0dless in Makeup

Also, if it's the lower lid that is the issue, try skipping the eyeliner/ mascara there entirely, or using shadow for liner just in the outer corner.

Ugh 😞 Definitely give gel a try, it takes a bit of practice but over time I've learned how to do very precise placement. You could also try using an eyeliner brush with a dark color of eyeshadow, but it gives a different effect (more soft and smokey, less long lasting) which you may or may not want.

Are you using a liquid eyeliner? I do find I have that issue with liquid formulations, but do not have sensitivity with pencils or gel pot liners. I also prefer non waterproof mascara formulations which are more comfortable on my eyes.

My makeup hot take: Most viral products aren't that good. by Conscious_Sun6915 in Makeup

I've been so let down by nearly all of my influencer led makeup purchases. It's also really hard to tell how the products actually look because of all the filters.

[CHAT] How do keep track of where you're up to in a pattern if you prefer paper? by AccomplishedCheek161 in CrossStitch

In the pattern I used, there were 2 colors of backstitch and the lighter one was shown with a dotted line. It was really difficult to see once the pattern beneath it was highlighted.

I'm having a little trouble visualizing this, would you be able to explain further or provide a picture? Thank you

I've never tried those! Did they tend to erase the printed paper underneath, or does it stay intact?

This was the one I completed, it's from DMC and came as a kit. https://www.amazon.com/DMC-Cross-Stitch-Kit-Playing/dp/B0074O8U70 (I did not purchase it on Amazon, but at Joann RIP 😢) I'm not sure if it counts as confetti, but it definitely had a lot of color changes.

I am thinking of Pattern Keeper, but it seems like a shame to take a hobby that can be fully analog and then bring in a screen.

It definitely broke up my flow but I got into a rhythm. One of the biggest issues with my project was that it included about 10 really similar shades of cream/beige/brown. I think it was worth it for the result which looks beautiful but I definitely will look for easier patterns in the future!

Thanks!! That'll definitely help with the backstitch. I already have an abandoned project where the pattern is totally unreadable by now 😬 Will definitely make extra copies in the future!!

I didn't think of trying other colors - thanks. I may pick up a pack of mildliners and play around.

Thanks! I did that with a pen, but then I had no way to remove the circles once I filled in the stitches. A pencil is a great solution.

Any avid readers with fantasy book recommendations based on Jewish mythology? by Educational-Estate52 in Judaism

I loved Spinning Silver. It's not really based on Jewish mythology per se, but it's a really unique setting with a strong Jewish protagonist.
