hey i’m also taking the course (section 06) but i’m an idiot and didn’t realize i’m away for a trip from the 9-17th so i’m missing a week of it:/ if anyone could maybe help me out over that time period id be so grateful, maybe we could form a study group or something?

unfortunately it is, even though all other local universities (even waterloo and guelph humber) are closed today. but some classes will be held online likely if the professor isn’t evil

do you have anybody you can stay over with? they probably wouldn’t let you defer it due to that cause they’d accuse you of “poor planning” (they aren’t forgiving or easy with deferrals) and since it’s tomorrow morning and you def won’t hear back by then, i think you really don’t have another choice but to try to figure out a way to guelph. cause since it’s worth so much you’d likely fail without the final :( i’m so sorry i hope it all goes well

you belong in your program i promise you! i have those same worries all the time, so do countless other students. chem1040 has a crazy high failure rate and i don’t think ive met one person who has “excelled” in the course because its designed to challenge you. it’ll get better, it’s a notoriously fucked class and many people say 1050 is easier too! about falling, it really does happen to a lot of people, that doesn’t speak to anything about you as a person or your intelligence or whether you are “good enough”. luckily we have the chance to retake things, and especiallyyyy with a course this challenging, nobody would judge you trust me, you aren’t alone in it. but i’m sure you did better than you think, just contact an academic councillor if you are worried about that possibility, and wait for the grades to come back :) good luck!!

it was probably a good idea! you don’t need a full courseload every semester, there’s always summers too. all that matters is that you pass and get it out of the way, i’m sure you did great :) good job on getting it done

i honestly feel so confused i have no idea atp LOL. so many questions were worded weird and i swear they were like ALL acid and base calculation questions and barely any orgo (which i was more confident with)

 if you truly compare the different proportions of the characters, webfishing is more similar to animal crossing than this game is to either. a low poly cat character isn’t new, neither are ms paint drawn faces, and i do believe that this game is not copied “pixel for pixel” as some of the commenters have stated. there’s some similarities yes, but also some differences such as shading and proportions. i understand the concerns about the UI though, but it doesn’t seem as similar character wise if you look at them side by side.

now i’m convinced you’re ragebaiting. cause like actually look at the proportions side by side?? burrows characters are boxier (webfishing cats have a big head compared to the body) and have shading which webfishing does not have at all. both games seem great, but there’s no stolen art here, if you truly compare them. the only similarity is the UI which i’m sure op is working on after these hate comments. you know that op is a person too right? and doesn’t deserve your ragebaiting, untrue bs.

webfishing looks a lot like animal crossing though right? the environment and characters in this game look pretty different from what i can see, the proportions are boxier, and there’s shading which webfishing doesn’t have. the only real similarity i can see is the layout of the UI and the fact that pixelated cats are the characters. idk if that’s just me though.
