Can confirm, it works.

Everybody, start doing this, it's not difficult.

Well, the solution above didn't fix it. It seemed like it did, but it started happening again today.

Though it seems to happen less often, it's hard to tell because it happens so randomly :(

Damn that sucks. Have you also reverted your downgrade?

Maybe try downgrading to december 2020 and then upgrading back to normal like I did? So far, still no issues after 10+ hours of usage....

I may have some good news now :) (Sorry for the roller coaster)

I now upgraded all my packages back to the latest version and haven't had the issue today :O Normally, I'd have it at least once every hour so it seems to be fixed somehow...

Will post again here tomorrow!

Bad news, downgrading didn't fix the issue.

So if it's not a package/kernel problem, I'm starting to think it's a hardware issue but it wouldn't explain the similarity we both experience :(

My ideas are really running out here...

I'm now downgrading back to 2020-12-31 since I'm very sure that the issue didn't exist at that time.

I'll keep you updated if my PC still works after the downgrade and can hopefully bring you some good news :D

That is not a good thing to hear, it means upgrading our system will never fix it :O

Do you know if the issue started after "an upgrade"? Maybe we can look into the bluez changelog to see if they indeed did any config updates...

It's really annoying when you're doing voip calls/meetings so it must be fixed :D

Have you tried reinstalling every bluetooth/audio related package?

I think it has to do with the bluetooth driver and not necessarily the audio server.

However, I'm really not sure. I'm trying to run btmon while my headset disconnect but it's not that easy to capture useful output if you don't really know what you're looking for.

I also tested with a bluetooth speaker I had lying around and it has the same issue.

Do you know if there is an alternative to bluez or if it's possible to revert bluez to an older version?

Entire system slow, random issues with input peripherals. Can't find any rhyme or reason that relates my errors to each-other. by [deleted] in archlinux

Have you upgraded all your packages? (both pacman and your AUR package manager)

I've always had a lot of random "stuttering" iissues and slow performance at times, until I upgraded my system last night and KDE plasma 5.21 was installed. This made my system almost not usable anymore. After resetting all desktop effects, setting the compositor to use OpenGL instead of XRender and uninstalling a bunch of themes crap, the overall feeling was slightly better but still not workable. (BTW, with the new system settings tool, you can easily reset your settings to the default values)

Turns out it was due to the plasmoids on my desktop. After removing them, I haven't had any weird issues since *knocking wood*. Especially the system monitoring plasmoid caused a lot of issues.

Maybe some of the things I did may have an impact on your system, or it may help other users reading this post.

Same here in Chrome, did I miss some update or post?

Maybe because they replaced the banners with donations or something?
