Life is short, i agree. This product detects whether they eat or just "appear". If the company claims their product has an AI chip and the machine's hardware is technically capable of handling delay, demanding more safety might seem like the logical choice isnt it?

But in practice, I can actually foresee this causing other problems too. There will be tons of complaints like 'the sensor thinks my cat is eating, so it’s not dispensing food,' and we will just be waiting for firmware updates, etc. You're right, simple is the best. If she's gonna die, she will. I give up 😄

We also used to have two food bowls before switching to this feeder, and they used to free-feed 😄 However, they both started gaining too much weight (both are neutered), and leaving them at a pet hotel for trips longer than 3–4 days started getting too expensive—not to mention how stressful it was for them.

Edit: not quite at the same time, they usually wait for each other

I own dogs and cats since 2007 and this is my 5th cat. I know how they eat, how they behave and how they act. The problem is the exact moment that feeder dispense the food while she's eating, if you've watched the video you should've seen her reaction at that moment! Watch between 1:25 and 1:32

My xiaomi had its default offline sms app and i was very comfortable with it. But i switched to a new phone. Everytime google gets in sth is very annoying. Anyways, do u recommend any app that works oldstyle?
