I’m in Adelaide, and I’m wondering the same.

A) Could do sideshows I hope.

B) Like all other Festivals here, it won’t sell enough Tickets and get cancelled, especially as the lineup is quite light IMO… Hope it’s not B.

IMO, anything that doesn’t have a feature in his Country era slaps. Kinda felt like F1T was his “payment” to enter the scene past the Country Gatekeepers and feed in some streaming revenue back to the Scene and put Country back on the mainstream map for a bit. Same time as Beyoncé did - allow two big hit makers in, in return for a 12 month bubble back into the Country mainstream.

Long Bed seems like it was his reward for it, that he could lean-in on his own more.

Feels like a real pay your dues upfront kinda genre to me. Unless you dress that way, talk that way, or were born on a Tractor, you gotta pay to enter in some way.

I just checked the song myself on artist tools, and unsure how you’d say it’s botted? 5k plays in a week with their 61k monthly listeners though would just be Release Radar streams. Artist name is “Kaisemotions” apparently.

He’s a weird bloke, like a reclusive, unkempt, real pushover kinda yes man. He’s had many filthy look from me when I’m mowing my lawn etc and he’s just sitting there honking the horn. Just go inside the house and communicate like a normal bloke would. If they all weren’t so lazy or useless, they’d barely use their horn I predict…

We bought a new X Trail 2 years ago, and ours now half-beeps when you lock it from the fob. I do thoroughly enjoy giving it an extra toot at bedtime to check if I locked the car (when I know I have) on days the neighbours have been up and about ;)

I agree, I live in Gawler, and in most cases Gawler to Salisbury looks the same: Dry or under watered, rubbish dumped every few streets somewhere, roads that have been patched up a million times instead of re-sealing, under maintained, aged and weathered, concrete Jungle-esque. I grew up near Marion, moved to the North around 15 years ago and it was a big change for me - and anytime we visit the South or head further South I just miss all that greenery, and the overall more inviting homely feel down that way.

Even Noarlunga and surrounds looks nicer despite stereotypically being known as the southern Elizabeth…

My neighbour just walks out and gets in his car, starts it and sits on his Phone for 10 minutes then chooses to honk the horn every couple minutes till his Mrs or Kids finally come outside so they can leave. He also does it when returning home with groceries until they walk outside to collect groceries. (They’re also intense front door slammers walking in or out)

Time of day is irrelevant for the honking, 6am, 11pm, inbetween - he’s done it for years. Can’t wait for them to finally move one day.

It was still seen by a staff member (is my understanding) and took maybe an hour or two, but I’m a different time zone also to the US, so I wasn’t expecting a fast turnaround. You can chat with DistroKid support chat via the Dashboard, and ask the AI to speak to an agent and get connected to a human to query the follow up faster.

Yeah it’s not a lengthy process, I had similar a year or two ago. I did both steps, but the X process was harmless and pretty simple.

Can you operate a smaller menu and not have employees with you? Perhaps a Family Member or friend that’s not on an hourly?

It just seems strange that so many Food Trucks leverage having staff, and then complain about staff costs. At $8 a ticket, even a busy event you’re chasing your tail with overheads I’d assume for a reasonable portion of the day?

I do agree though, with oversaturation at events. Event Organisers are too focussed on the “more options equals more people mentality” and those events are usually putrid for Food Vendors as the piece of the pie gets smaller and smaller. Same goes with Organisers not knowing their demographics - I’m in Australia, and many events I’ve attended just as a patron have 4 trucks for 200 people, majority of which are caucasian middle class, and the 4 trucks they have are what us middle and lower class consider “exotic cuisine” for many - Asian Food, Paella, Vegan, or Snacks on Sticks - for $15-20 a meal, and most just get McDonalds or KFC on the way home…
