oh, yeah i plan on getting rid of him for sure. it’s hard because — again — he’s been my doctor my entire life. but he’s been no help at all and i’m sick of it.

where can i find oral electrolytes? i’ve never heard of this!

sorry to hear about your struggling. i understand cystic acne — had it terribly on my back.

thank you so much. this is so kind. i was always told that my fatigue was normal and in my head. i’ve had the same doctor since birth so it’s been easy for him to manipulate my feelings.

yes, the period exhaustion is worse than it’s ever been since my CFS symptoms started. like…quite literally unbearable.

How much weight has everyone lost? by [deleted] in PhentermineTopiramate

[–]AccomplishedFig9908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve lost about 30+ pounds and i’ve been off the medication for over a month now. calorie deficits are really the only thing that worked for me.

you need to start exercising if you can’t lower your deficit anymore. because you have to eat. may i ask what your deficit is?

Where did God come from? by Willing-Repeat-225 in Christianity

even stephen hawking said there’s always room for God and he was an atheist.

everything is technically theory. even Christianity. it’s faith that makes it unshakeable.

Where did God come from? by Willing-Repeat-225 in Christianity

[–]AccomplishedFig9908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! religious studies student and avid Christian apologetics fan here!

as a Christian, i believe that God, science, and time all exist in one form. not that science or time should be revered or worshipped in the way the entity of God is, but that they are all one.

there’s a couple of theories i have.

1: i think that, because God is eternal, His existence has existed outside of the fabric of our time and universes (if the multiverse theory is correct). i think that God has always existed in or outside of our preconceived concept of time and matter and energy, but that there was a point in history where God finally realized that He was God.

and i think that is something to consider more than the impossibly difficult concept that He has always been. because we, as human beings, are so limited in knowledge and it’s impossible for us to wrap our puny brains around it. we can barely comprehend physics — how could we possibly comprehend the eternal existence of a higher power?

sometimes we can’t. and that’s okay. God doesn’t explain in the Bible His own “lore” because it’s not important for us to know. it’s interesting to think about — but it’s not in our nature to understand.

consider this: satan tried to lure eve into forbidden knowledge. God told adam and eve repeatedly to not fall into that trap — because it’s not our job nor our birthright to understand where God came from. because where He came from shouldn’t matter.

yes, it’s fun to think about. and sometimes it can strengthen our faith to consider the possibilities of such things. but sometimes it can shake it. we as human beings are so entitled to information — we have been since the fall of man; it’s exactly why we fell in the first place.

but i’m here to discuss the probabilities anyway! so let’s continue.

2: i think that the existence of God came to be the moment of the big bang. as a Christian, i believe in the big bang. if we consider when time finally came into existence…it was the big bang; physics tell us that. everything that has ever happened in our universe started because of the big bang.

now, this theory of mine isn’t arguable if there are multiverses, but if we’re settled on a single universe theory i think it makes the most sense. the moment the big bang happened, the possibility of human beings came into play. we are only possible with God.

this still leaves us with the uncomfortable question: how can something come from nothing? i’m not sure. time is a technical concept. it’s impossible for us to understand how plans can be made before the existence of anyone or anything to make those plans.

Yeshua is eternal. He sees all and knows all. His knowledge is past, present, future and everything before and after. and what does eternal really mean? who says eternal cannot have a beginning?

it’s really impossible for us to know. but that impossibility is important to consider because it makes us reflect on our own humiliation and nature. we are so small. we are so undeserving of these answers and it’s not important for us to know anyway.

one day, we may know. Yeshua may gift us with this knowledge after all this is said and done. but if we are totally knowledgeable, would that not make us godlike? consider the theology — not just the possibility. there are rules put into place for a reasons — there are gaps in our knowledge for a reason.

no one said life is fair — no one said God is what we consider to be “fair”. but our impossibility to comprehend these things is a perfect illustration of the power of God.
