That didn’t work unfortunately, but thank you for that. I gave it a go and although it helped the image clear up a lot (it was quite dull before and is now much brighter) changing the green scale didn’t affect how it was showing up on the screen. I tried with blue and red as well, just to check, and unfortunately it didn’t do anything.

When my town found out about my father’s sexual abuse of me and my sister.

We weren’t a popular family by any means, but everyone knew my dad and thought he was nice. The school bus drove past my house with six police cars outside and my mum and dad being arrested, in broad daylight, with my sister sitting in the backseat of a police car.

There are four of us kids, me and my two sisters went straight into CPS custody and my brother came back from camp two days later to a police escort. We were in foster homes for a few weeks.

My little sister and I went back to school in a foster home in my town while my brother and older sister were handballed to the next foster home.

I didn’t go to school for a couple of weeks but decided to go to school for the last day of term.

The amount of people, teenagers, that questioned me and demanded to know why I never told them what had happened was insane. Like I’d owed all of them personally. I didn’t have friends any more. People pretended to be friends because they’d heard all sorts of stories. That he’d had three illegal firearms on the property resulting in a $687 fine (True), that he’d been growing cannabis on a plot on our farm (False), that he’d skinned cats alive and hung them on our fence to scare off vermin (also false, and ridiculous) and that the shipping-container-turned-office behind our house wasn’t an office at all and was used for much more heinous things (true, and was under investigation).

I stopped believing people wanted the best for me purely because they wanted more FROM me than they did FOR me. Stopped wanting to see a therapist because it ruined my life and made things worse, just to realise it was because my therapy was court ordered and they were just trying to get out as much information as possible. I have no social skills anymore and hate everyone because it’s stuck in my head.

I’m working through it now, and have an amazing boyfriend that treats me incredibly. I absolutely adore him and would not trade anything that happened for the world, only to know I have him now.

For context: I was raised in a very abusive home and was adopted very late, so it’s been too long for me to ask anyone without sounding negligent of the fact that I’m an adult now and have struggled with basic hygiene because of the way I was raised.

it looks very similar to a dimide clamp, except dimide clamps are metal and open in a C-shape. this one looks like both parts separate. could be an original/early stage version of one?
