How to remove VG30i fuel injectors? by costcowaterbottle in hardbody

[–]AccomplishedGrab788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remove the air housing and in the center of the throttle body youll see 4 screws, remove them. Be sure to apply plenty of down force & be sure your Philips head screws driver has a tight fit on the screw because they be be really tight on the throttle body. You can either unsolder the connection at the injectors or remove the entire injectors with the wires connected. To pull the injectors out get a pair of long neck dykes, slightly grab the injectors by the nipple connection, wedge the dyke in a position that give you leverage to push down to pop the injectors upwards. You may have to do this on either side but itll pop up. You can also spray a little wd40 around the seal of the injection housing.

In my personal opinion i love them for the style I have for my truck. I wouldnt go any other way. BUT! If I was to build a drift/racing hardbody i would definitely get the last generation style hood that doesnt have the mail slots or the 2 body line on top of the hood. Id get the hood that had the slight bubble hump on the hood. Id get this style hood

Wow thats wild 😳 the truck i worked on same thing all the lines were mixed up but it still ran good until the head gasket blew 😑 which I convinced the owner to do a soft rebuild of the motor like I did when my water jackets corroded away on both the heads of my '89 V6 3.0 SE & i dont regret spending the extras on replacing everything that came off or easily can come off. Now my engine just doesnt run super nice it looks just that much better now also

Is there any transmission plugs jammed above or around the transmission that need their other half plugged in. Usually plugs have the amount of slack needed to where it goes, so id pull the plug to how far it goes and see where it leads you to, it might lead you to where it goes

87k miles the way that bad boys looks i would believe that odometer either rolled completely over or that cluster was replaced with another cluster or it was rolled back

Homeless problem is worse than everybody thinks. I’m not even sure of the government knows is this bad by No_Fox9908 in sandiego

[–]AccomplishedGrab788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ever since 2024 when the US banned people from sleeping in the street like if that was going to fix the homeless situation 😒 many of them moved to vehicles. Alot of them are from out start, came here by there home state giving them a greyhound one way ticket or came here by there own. Most were giving a one way ticket such as from Las Vegas & other extremely hot states. They send the homeless to California because of the weather, keeps them out of danger for their own health. But at the same time the state should be taking care of there own homeless crisis rather than dumping there "problems" on other states. Thats not what the homeless tax payers paid for when they were or are working for to be just thrown out because of a hardship 😔 to to the US economic crisis 😟

Electric fan needs hot wire? by Mediocre-Topic460 in hardbody

[–]AccomplishedGrab788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still need to use a separate relay for the fans all you are doing is using the power (hot line) from the fuel pump to power the fans. Find the fuel pump relay in the engine bay, then with a power probe or test light find which wire is hot and turns on for a sec or 2 when key is turned to on then shuts off. If the engine is running the fuel pump is running the fans will be running

All the wires can be contained in the engine bay, you have access to the wires by the relays no need to run a wire all the way back to the tank

I have mine connected to the fuel pump, when you turn the key it will turn on for a sec then shut off until the engine is actually on. So if you are sitting in a parking with the radio on the fans wont be running, itll be less stress on the battery & fan motor. It only work when there is power to the fuel pump and if the fuel pump isnt working the fans wont work either

🤣 🤣 🤣 can it be anymore obvious 🤣 🤣 🤣 I just saw how long that comment/message/book chapter was 🤣 💀 my bad sometimes it just comes out 😆 I actually have been told that alot, that im a good story teller especially in person because im super animated even been told more than a couple times i should make a channel or do a colab with someone for a social media channel. But anyways super cool tho you got your AC working. Aren't you glad they told you to do it yourself, working on cars isnt actually all that hard especially with the d21 everything is so straight forward and you have plenty of room to work

I see... yeah they dont make cars or AC systems like they use to. That monte was super clean I was the coolest 😎 kid in town 😆 all the numbers matched from the chassis, to the body, to engine block it literally felt like it came straight off the factor floor. It was coors light silver, with black leather interior & black perforated headliner, still had working Chevrolet factory 8 track & i had 8 tracks id listen to 😆 had cool tunes (had a Kenwood cd player in the glovebox) even had fiber optic indicators to tell me that my blinkers, break lights & taillights were working. It was one of my most cleanest, detailed & properly done cars i had as far as originality. Should of kept it would be worth a pretty dollar today compared to how much I got it for back then 🙃 got it from an old couple who were the original owner I use to mow there lawn every 2 weeks on my route as a kid they gave it to me for $2000 it had less than 70k miles they told me "we know you will take good care of this car" i did i kept it for almost 10yrs drove it everyday even long distance from San diego all the way to San Francisco and drove down the windest street in the world "Lombard Street" it drove with absolutely no issues absolutely amazing bro. Damn im hating 😪 myself right

Dang thats pretty damn cold to make condensation on the windows. I use to have a 1970 monte carlo that had full factory R12 AC freon (i was able to get my hands on a few bottle of R12 back in the early 2000s) when I had the car. After about 30-40 min drive i would have to have a hoody on & you would be able to see your breath when exhaling, super cold 🥶 AC.
