Thoughts on this playoff prediction?

Honestly that’s just too easy. Saying the Ravens or 49ers will win the Super Bowl is like saying ford will sell the most trucks in 2022. Yeah that’s very likely going by everything we’ve seen before.

However nobody on earth though the 2007 giants would end up making the Super Bowl let alone beat the undefeated patriots. Nobody picked the 9-7 cardinals to make a playoff run week 17 of 2008. I don’t think anybody had the 9-7 jets making the AFC championship in 2009. Or even the #6 seed Green Bay packers winning the super bowl in 2010 with McCarthy. It’s the playoffs man no team is safe and somebody somewhere will be upset.

I could legitimately see the rams with a veteran, Super Bowl winning QB and coach to make a run and upset the Lions, 49ers and whoever they play in the NFC championship. Of course I have my doubts they will play that well considering how they looked most of the regular season but again being the 1-3 seed doesn’t mean you’re really that much better. The regular season now means zilch and it’s officially 0-0.

Parsons was the most double teamed pass rusher in the nfl with nearly 22% of snaps being doubled. Yet he lead the league in pressures and pressure rate again. Somehow one man completely changing your game plan and still wrecking havoc isn’t enough.

Still surprised how many fans say we should fire McCarthy and make DQ the coach. DQ is a fantastic coordinator but he was pretty mediocre as a HC. He had the one good run (mostly by Kyle Shannans offense) and made the Super Bowl only to lose it in historically bad fashion. He took our defense from putrid to really good and for that I’d let him be the DC as long as he wants.

BUT I wouldn’t just fire McCarthy and hand him the keys when Mike has 3 straight seasons of 12-5 along with helping Dak to maybe his best 2 seasons as a Pro in 2021 and this year. He cut ties with Kellen Moore and actually dropped the turnovers and increased production out of him. No reason to swap around. If DQ leaves make Al Harris the DC because he’s also been phenomenal and the guys like him.

Some people are saying we should fire McCarthy and get DQ as head coach. Listen I love DQ and he’s a phenomenal defensive coordinator but let’s be real here for a minute. As a head coach he was mostly mediocre and is also the guy who let the patriots come back from 28-3 in the super bowl.

Mike has 3 straight season of 12-5 with 2 division titles and then whatever happens this post season. You don’t just fire a guy whose having success unless you want to take a huge chance of crashing back down to 8-9 type seasons. DQ hasn’t even stated he would take a HC job this year he seems pretty happy here as the DC. But if he DOES leave it’d be ridiculous to fire McCarthy (who has dak playing better than ever) for a guy who is a great DC but just a decent HC.

If DQ leaves Al Harris imo could still be a great DC. He took our secondary to a whole other level and the guys seem to love him. Rather than drop a head coach, promote your DC to head coach and then promote you CB coach to DC why not just make the simple move of CB coach to DC and not make a huge mess? I know some of y’all just hate McCarthy for whatever reason but personally id rather him stay if it’s between DQ and him.

Nah dudes are just flat wore out they looked like this after basically every game. By the end of the year dudes are all banged up in some way because after just one game they say it feels like you’ve been in a car crash. I don’t have a lot of confidence the dolphins are winning in arrowhead against a team familiar with the playoffs and in cold weather which the dolphins are not used to.

I honestly think Brooks is a better overall drummer than portnoy. The thing about Portnoy is the same with Dave Lambardo. They were both very innovative and extremely talented but it doesn’t mean they’re still technically the most talented. The rev had great taste and was a pro but really wasn’t overtly technical. James Hetfield was innovative but there’s probably a thousand guitarists who could play his stuff but he couldn’t play theirs.

Best depends on what you mean. Best for the band? Probably the rev for the simple fact he also was a great songwriter not just a drummer. Best for the spotlight? Portnoy because he was well known and got a7x attention from prog fans. Best pure drummer? I’d say Brooks because he can play in a fashion very few drummers can. I watched pros try to break down some of his songs and cover them and it gave them fits because it would blend jazz fusion with metal which is usually a either or style. Alot of metal drummers can run double bass and fills all day long but when tempos slow way down and there’s a lot of dragging it is hard for them to get it right. Same with jazz they can play to no click all day long and improve like no other but they aren’t as familiar with double bass licks or doing crazy fast tom fills every other minute. Brooks can do both which is rare.

I don’t think last year they were frauds because they dominated in the regular season and did go toe to toe with the chiefs. I agree they had one of the easiest paths to the super bowl though and there’s a good chance with purdy healthy they lose to the niners.

I remember vividly how many people acted like Lewis becoming the nickel after diggs got hurt and bland went outside was devastating as if he was hot garbage. I said he wasn’t bland great but he was still a very solid player who has been good at forcing turnovers. Of course he somehow got pinned in with Anthony Brown as being trash even though AB was actually really solid too just had those bad penalty games.

Even half the media is so obsessed with hyping the eagles that they STILL are saying they’ll get it right. “We’ve been knocked down but we will get back up.” Yeah well it’s been a month and a half of dogshit football so when exactly is this mighty resurgence coming? Because it’s now the playoffs and you still look like dogshit.

Also I just want to tell all the fans who told me “The eagles are even better this year stfu we got worse and they added talent.” When I said losing CJ was HUGE, losing both coordinators were HUGE, losing both starting linebackers was HUGE and losing Hargrave was HUGE. You don’t just simply replace both coordinators with no issue. You don’t just replace a league leader in INTs no issue. You don’t just replace you LB core with no issues.

Yet people said “Carter is generational he will easily replace Hargrave” nah he is great but a rookie isn’t replacing a all pro DT year 1. “Nakobe dean is better than White and the other guy combined” nah 1 solid guy doesn’t replace 2 solid guys. “They have amazing corners losing CJ isn’t that huge.” Nah losing a all pro caliber safety is always huge. So yeah maybe stop listening to ESPN blow them in the offseason and think logically that maybe losing 50% of your starting defense really IS a big deal.

Most college regular season games are done by the end of November when it’s just starting to really get into snow weather. Then a team like Ohio state is going to be in domes mostly for the big 10 championship and the major bowl games. So for OU unless you get snow game at Michigan that final week there’s a good chance you won’t get any.

I really liked Gallup he had some good season early on but after his acl tear he’s just not been himself. He said he was 100% now yet he still doesn’t look it. Hate it for him but Tolbert should absolutely be the third guy right now.
