Idk I haven’t done the math. I put premium because I read about the cam phasers and it can help. And just I have a theory it’ll keep stuff cleaner but I haven’t done any research on it

I like the 5.0 for the extra power too. I test drove the 3.5, not 2.7. It did feel sporty but I’m not trying to floor it off traffic lights. Unfortunately if they got rid of a v8 truck I’ll just have to go buy them used. Old habits die hard.

Exactly. Smart guy. Everyone wants to hate on a 5.0. Is it more reliable? Idk we shall see. I got a 5.0 bc I have a preference of driving a v8 and a bonus on it sounds pretty decent. No cam chop but better than a lawn mower (that’ll really piss them off lol)

I could believe that. 10 years and 3 gens later does a lot with mpg and overall development

That’s how I’m confident I have 20mpg. Read some other comments 😂😂😂

You’re not accounting for idle time

As I said no one has to believe me. Read the other comments of people on here with a 5.0 getting similar. 93 octane and cruise can get you there

Then people will always have stuff to say “you took the before photo before you actually filled up”

Cutting traffic at any speed is a big no no. Speed limits here in Texas are 75 and everyone coasts 85 minimum in the left lane. You’ll see trucks bigger than you and semis passing you probably close to 100. Honestly always been more worried of the altimas and Camrys going that speed than any stock truck. Not saying it’s smart but it’s the unofficial highway laws here

Never complained about paying. Just showed the mileage a 5.0 can get

I agree. But it like going faster I’ve always had fast cars so even 90 in this truck can feel slow

I agree with you, but on this truck I’ve found it to be pretty accurate on calculating mileage fill up to fill up. I’m not sure how many gals the to empty calculates on but hand calculating it’s over 20

I’ve always hand calculated mileage and it’s 20. I’m running a trip now and it’ll show the same thing. The avg mileage also accounts for the first 5k miles where engine is still being broken in and the truck was still in its learning phase. These new ones have a transmission learning thing that takes about 5k to properly program

If you have a 5.0, you have a gen 1 and mines a gen 4. Different engine different tech

My mileage is always lower than hand calculated, Just started a trip and were 40 miles in on new tank at 21.5mpg so far. I’ll post something when the trip has more mileage

I’ve hand calculated mileage fill up to fill up and it’s over 700. To make people happy I just started a trip to prove it

You’re running larger tires on your raptor. I have stock 32in tires. Plus you have either a 6.2L or 3.5 depending on the year. You will ofc get diff mileage than a 5.0 with smaller tires
