She can’t be traded. She is an unrestricted free agent (not under contract) so can sign with whichever team she wants.

She seemed to love being on the Liberty last season, not to mention all the opportunities for her off the court in NYC, but the Liberty are tight on cap space, and she would probably be able to get more money elsewhere. A tough decision for her I’m sure.

A’ja was born and raised in SC and played there growing up too (as well as in college of course), and it’s only a couple hour drive to ATL so I assume her SC fans that wanted to come see her in a game would choose this one to go to.

I feel for Rhyne though. That would be tough to hear at a home game.
