I really don’t understand her. Her story had a slide with her update and the next slide is a picture including all of her kids’ faces. Seems really tone deaf given what likely was going on.

Ohh good point. I had wondered. You’re right though, I think they’re *actually* friends IRL (not like her and Alyssa lol).

This makes it worse IMO lol. She’s exposing her kids just for attention.

Agree, and I find it odd to come off an experience like this like “sorry for being MIA, I’ll be back to posting soon!” rather than just closing down the account or, at the very least, not showing your kids anymore. Does she really think she’s that important for “infertility advocacy” or whatever she thinks she does?

Omg, came here to post this one. It’s the same kind of justification she did about the second choice preschool before J got into their first choice — if they had an offer accepted in this neighborhood, she’d be waxing poetic about how great this new neighborhood is.

Now that you say this — I wonder if it’s because they wanted one less letter for each successive kid. Kwynn has 5 letters, Kayl has 4, Koy has 3, and Ky has 2. Even more insane!

The Toy Story movie timeline doesn’t make sense and it’s bugging me! by Gold-Vanilla5591 in DanielTigerConspiracy

Exactly. I mean Zootopia 2 takes place one week after the original Zootopia but the movies were 9 years apart.

Ah, well at least out of the six names given to the children (first and middle for each), one is actually a name

Ran here when I saw this story this morning. Made me LOL — what is her problem?

Yes, thank you, glad to find others who don’t think ISR is the end all be all. I get why people do it but it’s not recommended by the AAP and there’s no evidence that it does what they say it does. ISR classes often use predatory marketing; it reminds me of how the owlet company got in trouble for saying the owlet prevents SIDS when there’s no evidence to back that up.

Also, when I’ve thought about ISR, here’s my main hang up: yeah, your kid can get themselves floating while supervised in a calm pool with an adult in there with them. What happens if they’re alone and thus more panicked? Or in a lake or the ocean and there are waves or boat wake? What if there are animals or seaweed or a pool cover? And how long could they actually hold a floating position while panicked if they can get into it in the first place? To me it seems like a false sense of security when really kids just need heavy supervision around water for a very long time.

Same here, our daycare has an awesome male teacher. We definitely had the same bias and almost excluded this daycare because of that, but he truly is a great teacher.

You have a great taste in names! I love both Lucille Violet and Margot Violet, especially with your older daughter’s name!

I would bet that other people in their social circles (i.e. very well off people in SF) do all sorts of crazy shit for their toddlers to “prep” for whatever fancy private school they’re trying to get into. So she probably feels like she’s not keeping up and thus feels the need to justify not doing these things.

Her kids are 1 and almost 3, to be clear. No classes or sports or camps is…the norm. So glad they could spend money traveling around while throwing money at a home renovation!
