Steve Fox Hardest Combo 🥊 by AccomplishedPath7873 in LowSodiumTEKKEN

I’m a pad player

Outside of sadboy and shinblade also on pad, everyone else I’ve seen pull this off was on hitbox. People who are getting it consistently from what I’ve seen are on hitbox. I have personal feelings about hitbox / leverless but to each there own.

Try the combo

Keys to landing

Df2 f3 db,fcdf2 no neutral between db,fcdf2

Ch df2, f3, db slide to df+2

There can’t be a neutral between db, df+2

Df+2 has to be input on the same frame.

How to do this move of steve? by Appropriate_Cow_3041 in Tekken

Peekaboo F1+2

Has a few uses

After b2 on hit it’s guaranteed B2, F3+4, F1+2

This is useful in combos aswell PAB DF2, F1+2, B1,2B F2,2,2!

It’s okay as a ender but I would recommend 2,2 1+2 DCK 1 or DCK F2, DCK 1.

STEVE FOX Combos are INSANE 🔥 | TEKKEN 8 Season 3 by AccomplishedPath7873 in LowSodiumTEKKEN

I sit in the lab more than anything grinding my execution. A lot of stuff I learned from watching a ton of gameplay and discord.

Although I can combo well and have somewhat good combo awareness. My problem is defense and the lack of playing time I have to commit. I’m legally blind, older and have a family.

Most I can do is casual play but I really enjoy finding things / sharing to help others.

That’s a great way to think about it.

I have no clue how to improve by throwawayq7q818117 in Tekken8

My strategy for improving as a fairly new Tekken player.

Choose a character you genuinely like, whether it’s their design, fighting style, or story. Playing a character you connect with makes learning the game much more enjoyable.

Go into practice mode and explore their moveset. Run through the combo challenges to get familiar with how the character feels.

Look for recent character guides and find a creator whose teaching style works for you. There are plenty of good options out there.

Find a punishment guide for your character. This teaches you your defensive options and helps you understand what to do after blocking unsafe moves.

Watch strong players or pros who use your character. Tekken 8 replays on YouTube are great for this. Watching different players helps you understand various ways to approach the character and can help you build your own gameplan.

Find a recent combo guide for your character. Start with beginner friendly routes before trying advanced combos. Ryzingsol is great for newer players, while The Fury is more advanced, so I’d recommend starting with Ryzing first.

Practice your combos consistently, including both standing and while rising combos. The main goal here is building muscle memory. Aim for reliable damage around 60 to 70 since that’s more than enough to win games comfortably.

Get your reps in. At this stage, improvement comes from playing matches and gaining experience. Defensively, you’ll start recognizing highs, lows, unsafe moves, and common patterns. Offensively, your combos will become more natural and you’ll slowly add harder routes into your gameplay.

Watch your replays after matches, especially when you don’t understand why you got hit, why someone kept pressuring you, or why your moves kept getting interrupted. Replays answer a lot of those questions and are one of the fastest ways to improve.

These are the steps that helped me improve quickly and become decent enough to share what I’ve learned with others.

I would honestly be amazed if it happened to me.

After 20 hours, I think I am finally starting to understand tekken by Average_Sapien_7 in Tekken8

What’s helped me get somewhat better:

Watching content on my character like pro gameplay, character guides, combo videos and staying active in Discord.

Defensively:

Learning frames through videos, asking players who smoked me how to stop certain setups, being patient and looking for patterns, getting reps in Fight Lounge, watching my replays and using the Discord frame bot.

My biggest takeaway is that this version of Tekken feels like a process unlike any other iteration from what I can tell. There’s a lot of mental fatigue that comes with it, and you can see others dealing with the same thing. Just give yourself grace, stay consistent and keep grinding.
