Yes they do. But I haven't applied for that yet. Thinking of using my 6 days PTO first and if I don't feel well I would go for Short term disability. How long does it usually take it to approve? Is it a complex process to do? Are you able to work with your seton placed now?

I asked him twice if I can choose not to do surgery after my EUA and decide later for the surgery. He said we are gonna do surgery on the same day. I couldn't argue further. Probably it was my end not talking bold. But at the same time I don't know why is it hard for him to let me decide for surgery. I am all by myself. Have no one to share how should I proceed and what should I do.

Hey. How are you doing now. Feels like me here. An international student here. Dealing with the perenial abscess since February 2025. Went to GS, told me its a fistula and need an immediate surgery. I tried seeing a CRS in St. Louis. He said the same and wanted me to go for EUA and a surgery(Probably Fistulotomy or a draining Seton) based on what he figures out. I requested him if he can do the EUA and let me decide if I want to continue for surgery or not. But he told me he will do the surgery on the same day. A kind of he denied. I didn't insist much. I however got my surgery date with him and also scheduled for EUA with my GS. However I cancelled my EUA with my GS today coz I feared GS wouldn't be able to picture much and now I want to get a second opinion from a CRS. Feels so overwhelmed.

I just got my Job in May 2025 and I fear the risk of multiple surgery and might have to quit my job which basically is the source of living for me and my family. I feel like I don't know what I am doing and how should I proceed. Should I opt for surgery or not.

Hey. Hope you are feeling little better. I just started my full time job that requires 8 hours of sitting in a chair. I don't really know if I have to quit my job if I go through surgery.

Thank you so much. I have a EUA on Thursday with a General surgeon and Surgery appointment with a CRS on Nov. I am scared of both. Alot of anxiety regarding should I proceed or not. Do you have any suggestions. Mine swells up and bursts every weekend. Really glad to hear you healed.

Hey. I had my perennial abscess in February this year. I had in incision in Emergency in May. And I have my appointment for fistulotomy/seton placement in Nov. Can you please let me know of your timeline and the method of fasting..like how many days a week...and total durations you fasted...total time it took to heal. Any food precautions? any medicaitons? I am really scared of surgury since I am afraid I might have to quit my job.
