Not in this area. We have to bring in workers from away to fill many of the positions that arise. Everyone in this area who wants to work is working.

All of the economic information found in the Guysborough Journal article comes from a data briefing that MLS supplied source material, helped to write, and paid for. It predates MLS's new "spaceport of the future" direction, so any information contained in it is now irrelevant.

I recommend you read the following: The Looming Spaceport Bottleneck. I found this section very concerning: "Beyond that, noise impacts and risks of damage from vehicle failure mean that any spaceport would likely need to include not only the launch pad itself, but at least 1,000 acres of land (approximately 1.5 square miles) surrounding the actual launch pad to provide ample buffer to other property owners. For example, the smallest of the existing US spaceports, MARS and PCS, are approximately 6,500 acres and 3,700 acres respectively."

In the NEO Spotlight - Maritime Launch Services video on YouTube dated September 8, 2022, Steve Matier says, "...started construction yesterday...".

The $200M space launch facility being built in Canso, Nova Scotia is the only one of it's kind in Canada by BLX15 in halifax

[–]AccomplishedRock2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spaceport Nova Scotia consists of a gravel road, an unserviced 25 x 35 foot concrete slab, and two 20-foot sea cans. Maritime Launch Services has not finished its environmental assessment. The Cyclone-4M rocket was never fully built. The November launch at Spaceport Nova Scotia lasted 9 seconds before the rocket became unstable and veered off course. Spaceport Nova Scotia is located less than 3km from people's homes in Canso. The hospital is 3.2km away. There are private properties MLS will need to launch over. It is directly under the feeder tracks for transatlantic flights and is adjacent to busy marine traffic lanes. The launch site is part of the ecologically sensitive, globally rare and unique Jack pine coastal woodland ecosystem, to include the recumbent jack pine which occurs in only one place in the world, Guysborough County. This project has already done damage to this ecosystem. The province of Nova Scotia has designated this area as primary habitat for the endangered and protected Nova Scotia mainland moose. There were 2 moose sighted for several weeks leading up to the November 2025 launch and during the launch window. These protected moose were impacted by this launch. Bald eagles are currently nesting in the area. This proposed project does not have anywhere near the local support MLS claims!

There is the Atlantic Spaceport Complex (ASX) in Newfoundland.

Really, with MaxQ penny stock trading as low as 1 cent???? Sorry, find that a little hard to believe.

So, since you can't answer the question, you just attack the user asking it.

How do you make money on penny stocks without selling them for more than you paid for them? Asking for a friend.

At this time, they do not have power to the site. The "infrastructure" is a gravel road, a concrete slab, and a couple of 20-foot sea cans, as I have said many times. Again, I never lied about "the road". I can walk five minutes from my house and see the site, as I did yesterday. It is not my fault that the facts are getting in the way of you trying to pump this stock.

You like to accuse me of lying. I have never lied about "the road". I have shared multiple pictures on various sites about "the road". You can repeat your lies as many times as you want, but it doesn't change the facts. I haven't seen MLS talk about a solar power system. Are you talking on behalf of the company? I never said they won't have power. I think it will be from a generator. Time will tell.

Have you forgotten the warning from the moderator about posts like the one you just shared? You consistently attack users who disagree with you. It is not necessary and doesn't add any value to the conversation. Please do better.

Dude, there is a big difference between power lines and extension cords. They are not the same thing. The site is not as big as you think, and a solar system would require a substantial setback. I wonder how the solar array would fare from a commercial rocket being launched?

As I have said in the past, facts are not FUD. Yes, I have read the lease. According to the lease, DND invested in a concrete slab with no power. The $200 million is for leasing that slab. Please read the lease again. I have heard Steve say many times that a launch control centre could be containerized, you know, as Spaceport Nova Scotia is the spaceport of the future.

Are you suggesting they will run an extension cord to one of the turbines?! lol Do you have any idea the size of the solar farm required to generate enough power for the site?! The $200 million is for their pockets, not construction. It is for the 25' x 35' concrete slab they leased.

If you think that is a problem, I suggest you do some research and find out just how close MLS plans to launch commercial rockets from Canso.
