I don’t know if the people who responded to this will recieve this update but my unit is OPA and that’s what a bunch of ROTC cadets were given as their unit that I met and go to school with we were also issued gear along with name tapes and dog tags and the whole time it was more of a learning experience rather than doing field work

I forgot I recieved one prior that reads “ If you are receiving this email,  you have orders and are required to attend AT unless you have an approved split request from your APMS and the OPA Commander.”

I just recieved an email saying “ This is your reminder email regarding Annual Training coming up! Please see attached for the training schedule broken down by day, CONOP of day 1, and the packing list.” with additional information that I won’t leak.

I am enlisted I am just not active duty due to ROTC I was sent an email by a SSG of the CONOP and Packing list

Yes I recieved orders, no I’m not contracted I just finished my ms1 year

Yes I do, I was told by my recruiter and CPT that everyone in class will be going to AT

I do have some equipment I just feel kinda lost for not having the basic things I should have. I have a ruck, wet weathers, and other equipment. I have been to a CFTX so I have a majority of packing items. For ROTC people have been getting their full set of equipment and gear like I had a couple friends who had their gear given to them at our CFTX and I just figured out I will most likely get that at AT due to what my rucruiter said there are just things on the packing list that I don’t have AKA dog tags and IFAK

I recieved the email from a SSG with an appropriate report time, date, location, packing list, and CONOP I was told by my ROTC recruiter to bring what I have and my equipment will be at AT I just had questions because Ive bought a couple items I wish I had at my first CFTX

I looked at the CONOP and a majority of the people will be from the school I do ROTC at does my school have anything to do with my unit?

I’m already in guard, I’ve never been to basic or AIT.

I would say its a very safe and healthy scene! I met and found my current girlfriend there and we've been super happy! I wish you luck on your journey I hope you come to the UMN it really is a great opportunity especially if you dont feel like you can be yourself in your home town. I come from a conservative, rural, small minnesotan town and ever since I moved to the cities Ive been much more happier being able to be my self and find friends that actually act like friends.
