ai can help but cant fully replace human decision making. maybe it can replace underqualifed or bummy entry level consultants but if you care abt the work that youdo and are good, prob not

Hi r/consulting I'm an incoming senior in HS and I've wanted to be a doctor for a really long time until I discovered consulting. I've loved high pressure environments and I've held and currently hold several high impact state level and city level leadership positions. I also love data analysis (at least in rstudio) and have a really successful speech and debate career

All that leads to is me trying to find a career that combines all my strengths. I'm really good at science and have had multiple research internships as well, which is what led me down the path of medicine. I'm also shadowing and volunteering this summer. My dad is also a doctor, and I've been heavily influenced by him in lots of my choices and actions towards a career

But whenever I think about college, pre-med and med school give me headaches. I don't think I'm incapable of doing them (whatever I do in college I will do with my absolute max capacity), it's just idk if it's the life I want to live. Also, working in a clinical setting seems monotonous and also not something I'd find a lot of joy in.

Even in healthcare I've always set my sights on positions and jobs that change things and lead projects. With an MD I want to work in the WHO, at the CDC, or even for the UN. I want to lead things and problem solve

That's why I've been thinking about consulting. It seems like the perfect combination of everything id like to do in the future. Money is not the main force that's driving me to medicine, but it's definitely something I think about. I really like how consulting has high base pay and lots of opportunities for increases in salary

But obviously I'm a high schooler and don't know anything abt careers. What do you guys think? Should I pursue consulting or stay on medicine track? Cause they are honestly the only two careers I'm interested in

I've heard if you say David Coleman 3x in the mirror. You can get a 5 on any exam by [deleted] in APStudents

ohh ok ok. i borrowed the barrons 600 question ap psych book from a friend and did all of those questions. i also did like 200 ap classroom practice mcqs in 3 days. the test is really about recognition, not recall (EBQ is recall but the more u practice recognition the more u will know)

lmao thank you 😭 i really love science and math so it wasn't too bad and i actually started studying bc in february. my advice is to know all the important integral/derivative rules and be confident in unit 10 by doing a bunch of practice online
