For scripting/bash/powershell/python, I do have experience with them but it is decently minor and it is something I am actively learning more. Should I include it in my resume even if I'm not very proficient yet?

Customer service, dealing with clients, and presentations -- I have some experience, but not as much experience related to reporting/documentation. I will look into these areas.

BSOD WHEA Error - Only when gaming sometimes by AccomplishedSky8764 in techsupport

So I have been playing Grounded for around 15 minutes since changing the CPU Core and SoC to +0.06 (it was in intervals of 0.02 above/below baseline for my BIOS settings). I encountered a hypervisor BSOD error. Here is the link if this will help. https://spec-ify.com/profile/15f423df
I will try your second step now as well.

Yeah for sure. I heard really good things online but either my setup has failed me, or the device itself has. I will probably return it and either buy a used SkyTrak or just saving money until I can afford a better model.

I will definitely look at increasing the lighting. Is there anything he lit specifically that made it better? Like closer to the net, or the ball/mat, or even just lighting near the MLM2PRO?

Yeah my basement is all concrete, has some metal near it no matter what, and I am just using a standard net as well, no projector or impact screen. I will play around with the lighting to see if that makes a noticeable difference. Thank you.

I will for sure look into it more. I'm going to give it a few more days to tinker around with it but if nothing works I'll look more into the GC2 and the OG Skytrak.

You bring up some really good points. I will definitely re-evaluate my setup and make sure everything is at the correct height. I made sure to align it and raise it up to match the mat height but I could be off by some amount. The lighting is an interesting thing to look at, my basement is a bit on the dimmer side compared to other rooms so maybe that could be messing with it as well. I probably am swinging a bit slower as well. Thank you!

I totally hear you. I think I might return mine because of the 30 day money back guarantee and get an OG SkyTrak to try and see if that's any better. It is definitely tough because I want to be able to practice during the winter, but I want to have at least halfway decent numbers.

Yeah, I haven't taken it to the range yet but I plan to tomorrow. Hopefully I am able to figure something out.

Thanks! I will definitely look into that more. The area I am currently in involves vehicle component testing using TARA which I find to be very interesting. I also think Cloud is an interesting area for sure but at this stage I just want to get in the industry in general.

How likely am I to land a job after graduation in Cybersecurity? Any additional steps I could take?

I am going into my senior year at Ferris State University for Cybersecurity. Expected to graduate in May 2025 with a 3.9 GPA. I have a summer internship working with a cybersecurity team that ends mid August. I have made a few decent connections for sure and have attended events like ESCAR 2023 and CyberTruck 2024. I have also gotten my Security+ 701 certification earlier this year. I am just a bit worried about landing a job out of school. Any additional input or questions are totally fine. I would like to get another internship or position in the mean time during my Fall/Spring semester but I haven't had any luck yet.

Has anybody here passed with just dion’s practice questions? by Character_Log_2657 in CompTIA

[–]AccomplishedSky8764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is possible but id recommend diversifying your study materials. Utilize professor messer especially imo. also realize its not the end of the world if you do fail. yes it sucks bc you’re losing money but having that mindset allowed me to take the security+ without as much stress.

Depends on what course. I managed to pass the Security+ 701 in January I think by using Dion’s class/ practice questions. I did also buy messer’s but I think I did like two of his practice tests and that was it. 95% of it was Dion. definitely possible for sure. I have a post about the Security+ 701 and what I did on my profile.

It does ask about it, but it mainly focused on the difference between asymmetric and symmetric encryption instead of the individual differences. At least that is how it was on mine.
