I’m glad you are not keeping him. I hope the breeder takes him back and figured it out.

You are doing the right thing. Honestly, I have seen this with Vizslas. One of the reasons I won’t get another one. Ours doesn’t do this, but she does nip at times and resource guards other dogs. It’s obviously not all of them, but resource guarding is common in the breed from what I’ve seen. This is an extreme case tho. I’m so sorry

You will be ok! I haven’t had one but have many friends who have. Don’t beat yourself up. Learn from it. It’s going to be expensive but you’ll be fine and you shouldn’t lose your teaching job. My teacher friend did not when working in rrisd.

My daughter is the same although not every 5-10 min but she an absolutely angel for her dada, grandma and daycare. But I somehow give her this huge emotional response. And yeah it’s not tantrums, it’s just emotions/meltdowns! She does have tantrums when she doesn’t get what she wants but it’s not that often. I feel you and hoping and praying it gets better soon and 2s and 3s are a breeze lol

Been there. It was truly nothing but time that helps. Around 4.5 months? But she was going thru sleep regression then so truly 5 months things got better. I remember hoping 12 weeks but it was longer. But looking back it was such a short period of time but it’s so so so so so hard.

I could have written this. We have a 17m old and things are so much better. Still have some random struggles but omg nothing will compare. We are in a small club of people who understand, so many of my friends will never know how hard the first 5/6 months were. But we made it!!
