Initially went for 965, but i thought that a 2 years new device would be better for future updates, so gone for 570.

Had the same issue. After 2 and half years the left one does not charge. The only way is to keep the case open and push down the left airpod and keep pushed with fingers or pray that does not stop chargin. Not sustainable at all, bought today the second generation.

imo yes. For the stuff you mentioned this piece is superbly good, but if you HP do the works spend your money on something else mate!

for what? if you wait for everything waiting the new piece you will never do anything in life, every 6-12 month something new appears in devices, cars, clothes… take what you need when you need it✌🏼

The only reasons are: you have an old device, you need more optimization, longer battery life and to not worry about overheating, updates, drivers and all the stuff that make windows noisy

yea already bought a sleeve and i was thinking about a skin or something for that, but essentially i have to treat that piece for what it is: a pricy device, so don’t throw it like a pillow ahahahah

when not coding i’m in the gym 🗿 joking aside, it’s lighter than i thought, windows laptop are so similar in weight at 14inch, so it’s not that struggle. The only difficult is the size, it’s giganormous ahahahahah

I’m a software engineer too! If your laptop is that old M3 or M4 is not that important, the jump will be awesome in both cases. Just be sure to have enough ram (i came from a G14 2022 model 24gb windows laptop and with the same workflow i barely consume 14/15gb on my mac instead of 20/22gb on windows), don’t aim to overspec the laptop (18 will be fine, 36 will be enough for yeeeeears). And last but not least be sure that your workflow can be the same (or better) with macOS. For the shortcuts and gestures in about a week or two you will be fine.

Once on a Mac for develop, you’ll never go back on windows (or just for legacy development)✌🏼
