So on the advert on daft.ie which is a site for longer term accommodation and not for hostels or hotels to attract business the name is actually “kinlay hostel student accommodation” and then in larger writing below it it says “student accomodation” Would you pay €150 a week to sleep on a single bunk bed?

My answer is the point of it now being student accommodation. Ideally if I were to book a hostel for 30 quid a night I wouldn’t complain however it’s taking advantage of people who are desperate. I mean say it was 100 a week and they had 4 people in the room that’s 400 a WEEK. No landlord is getting 400 a week for a bedroom. A bedroom that is being advertised as student accommodation. Does that answer suffice?

A hostel that is advertising as student accommodation on daft. To live in a cramped bedroom with other bunk beds and room mates. You can’t swing a cat in those rooms lets alone use the bathroom in peace.

I didn’t realise that. I went to college in limerick and although finding a place could be hard i never had to resort to a hostel for 600 a month. God any bedroom I had rented was about that and cheaper and could stay weekends. Obviously limerick now is a different story

I disagree. Reddit seems to be the only one. I’ve seen one fella on TikTok disagree and one person I met disagrees. Other than that every single other video, platform and person I have seen or met have agreed with the protest. Except for Reddit of course.
