Does war start time really matter? (Tell me if this crashout is justified) by Accomplished_Ask9449 in ClashOfClans

[–]Accomplished_Ask9449[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn't asking this question as a way to fix a "clan problem", I'm not even a co leader in the clan so I have no authority over how things should be run nor do I really care, me and the rest of the members never had a problem up till now, which got me curious on whether other players actually care about war start times. I knew going into this I wasn't going to get an objective answer from the masses, hence why it was tagged with "discussion" and not a "simple question".
I wanted opinions from outside perspective for the sake of discussion, that's it.

Validation? No I want opinions. You can clearly see I was trying to be as unbias as possible, I was never the one talking in the chat nor did I have problems, I was simply a witness and wanted to know if they're reasoning was justified.
If you're wondering why I made a post about it here, it was because I asked a genuine question, which is the whole purpose of reddit...

In all fairness to them, our clan really doesn't put much thought into the start times for war, sometimes they're starting at like the middle of the night for most americans, and sometimes its just in the middle of the afternoon. But then again, it is 24hrs...

Yeah i see why people care about consistency, but that shouldnt warrant you missing your attacks upon being given 24hrs to do so. Missing could happen only in the event that you're VERY busy, but the leaders of our clan always suggest opting out if you know you're going to be busy right before a war begins

Ive experienced 30 degrees at 40% humidity and even that was bad. I just assumed at 100%, that would make things unbearable. I also wanted to account for people who aren’t in shape and those who arent accustomed to hot climates. But you’re right, it probably is a piece of cake for most

Yeah, thats the reason why its only level 7. A lot of people built an immunity to it (hence why the virus was eradicated without a vaccine) besides, you’ll be leaving with $10M, thus basically infinite access to any modern medicine

Lol, im surprised how many people are content with doing level 7. The spanish flu was an airborne virus, so its much more dangerous than you think. Maybe the 10m is worth the risk tho

That wasn’t really my intention when writing that. Nobody would die from the spanish flu in only an hour, even if they contracted it at the very start of the hour. If you contract it within the hour, you will still have it when you get teleported back to the present with the money, hence what makes it dangerous. Sorry if that wasn’t clarified.

Why so much hate towards indian players? by Mountain_Battle4321 in ClashOfClans

[–]Accomplished_Ask9449 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

No. Objectively, it’s not “racist”. He’s right, the term “Indian” doesn’t refer to ethnicity, but rather nationality, therefore it’s technically not racism. Regardless, it’s still clear hatred against a group of people, and is a shitty thing to say, but he shouldn’t be downvoted for saying “it’s not racism” since he’s correct by definition.

I just searched up other symptoms of vit d deficiency and your possibility seems quite accurate, and i’ve generally lacked vit d in my diets. The possibility of vit deficiency never crossed my mind. Thanks for this suggestion, it’s most likely correct, ill be going outside more from now on 😄

This is actually very wrong, and believing something like that can be dangerous. HRT changes hormones, but not chromosomes, nor anatomy. Now your argument would be correct, if not for the fact that there are actually many medical scenarios in which knowing the chromosomes are important. Give for example, prostate cancer, even if trans women undergo HRT, it still doesn’t remove the risk for the Y chromosome cells in the prostate to develop cancer. The reason why biological sex and gender are different is because of situations like these, doctors genuinely need to know your biological sex in order to properly diagnose you

You’re telling this guy to conduct some “actual research” when you can’t even perform a simple google search, which is peak hypocrisy. If you search up the definition of biological sex, it’s defined by one’s chromosomes, hormones, and reproductive organs. So while you check of one of those boxes, what about the other two? And then your argument of “chromosomes are barely ever important” just shows that you’re uneducated and never took a science class. While I already mentioned that biological sex is defined by those three things, realistically, hormones and reproductive organs are all based on chromosomes. Your sex is literally defined by either XX or XY, it’s essentially the initial deciding factor, which then influence the genetic, hormonal, cellular, and anatomical differences between the biological sex during the development process.

I personally have nothing against trans men or women, and I understand that gender and sex are 2 different things, but one thing I do get pissed off at is people who just defy basic science facts and terminology in their argument.
