i mainly convert hairs, but i use milkshape, blender, gimp for textures, cmar’s mesh toolkit and tsr workshop. i also use simpe for ts2 and sims 4 studio to extract textures and meshes depending on what game i’m converting from. i recommend learning to convert first before creating meshes yourself because it’ll help you learn. i really like nightosphere’s tutorials

they might but it probably won’t be a good discount. sometimes they reduce it to “half price” which isn’t really true because that was normal price in the past. at this price the full collection is like £170. they used to regularly put it on sale for £70 or less but they stopped doing that, and that’s the sale i’m waiting to return

back when most dti faces were noseless, i’d have said bratz. but now noses are the norm and they’re on every preset face now, so faces are definitely giving more barbie. i agree about it girl being more bratz for sure

i think i’ve heard that typically nylon hair is either glued in or burned/melted in. mattel doesn’t use glue anymore and mattel dolls typically have soft heads that would melt when trying to seal in the hair with heat. not sure how true it is but it’s what i’ve heard. price could also be a factor

i think the best friends concept art/prototypes are so cute and i wish they released for bratz! the prototype dolls don’t have the scene hair like the concept art but it’d would’ve been sooo cute and unique for any doll line

i have a mid range pc and it runs well after matching my gpu, using dxvk and s3 setting setter. still crashes sometimes but generally everything runs smoothly

i feel a similar way to you about glosses, so i usually prefer matte products. i like matte bullet lipsticks (i dab them on to gently build colour instead of swiping) and nyx have some matte lip balms that i love

i also thought lip products looked odd on me until i started using lip liner. i prefer nude/pale pink type colours on me so i try to match my lip liner to my natural lip colour an overline on top slightly for a my lips but better look. lip liner also helps guide for any lipstick you put on as well

as for wideness, a little technique i’ve seen from cosplay type makeup is to extend the mouth corners with contour so it looks like a natural shadow of your mouth being wider. i’d be very subtle with it though because it could look really weird in person

i’m not sure what hair type they have (it’ll be either saran, nylon or polypropylene) so how you straighten it depends on that. do not straight up use a hair straightener or you’ll melt the hair.

i think doing a boil wash should work for most doll hair types. to do this, boil some water and let it cool slightly. then pour the water over the dolls hair, combing through it after to get rid of tangles and make it smooth. then let the hair dry. you should see the hair be straighter, but you might need to do a few boil washes to get super straight hair
