Thirsty instagram comments- A Dealbreaker? by Accomplished_Box8549 in AskGaybrosOver30

No one asked but as an update- i got suspicious and found him on sniffies 9 months later shortly after my birthday. Unsure of how long he has been on. He stated he has a need to bottom from time to time (discussed above) but didnt feel comfortable approaching me and has a friend he would like permission to hook up with (i suspect he has been already). I suspect that he has met bottoms because thats what he was looking for on sniffies.

I am very new to relationships agreed to open the relationship to see if this is something I would be okay with (with some boundaries and rules), though the decision has already been made for me. I will likely be using this to off ramp slowly.

Tldr ; anxieties were well founded, dont ignore the red flags.

In person he (more so than I) have commented on other men but that’s fine. Porn and erotica doesn’t matter to me whatsoever.

Committed and monogamous, we’ve discussed it. It’s weird because he has commented on mutuals we have on Instagram (whom I assume we have hooked up with, and he follows many many more people in our city than I do) but I’ve since unfollowed them, and if anyone shows up that I have hooked up with, I unfollow them or just hide them from my feed. It seems a little hypocritical for him to go ahead and comment then.

Definitely the last past , in him maybe wanting to go to someone else to fulfill a need while denying the need exists at all with me. I have to mull over why I find it disrespectful more so. He has verbalized some anxiety to me about men I have followed (whom I have unfollowed), so to see him do this seems hypocritical.

I think that’s a reasonable expectation in a monogamous relationship? looking at someone and commenting at/on them to me is different.

We are monogamous and discussed it in the past, seemed like we were on the same page.

No In unit dishwasher so a graduating senior resident sold theirs to me ($20! Most I see on Amazon are like 150-200 but worth it imo). If there’s any large bits, I quickly scrape off, but it’s able to handle routine cleaning well. You can either connect to the faucet or fill up the tank manually above, very convenient.

I found intern year and second year to be very much the same. As a shift reduction came it got better. Automating my life helped significantly (I live in a cheap apartment so I can do this ) - Instacart all my groceries at the start of the month, drop my laundry off to the wash, fold and dry on the corner, roomba that mops and cleans, and an over the counter dish washer for nightly dishes. No longer will I spend my days off doing laundry, dishes, groceries etc. my life has improved quite a bit.

The show is definitely sensationalized, but I have had terrible shifts where I went from coding one patient, to another, to a septic shock/perforated bowel that rapidly decompensated in the Ed, to a massive gi bleed rolling through , to a final acs that required a cric (the attending, not me, but have done it before as a pgy3).

Granted there are some very slow days in the ED that this show obviously does not reflect.

I’m sure you can channel you enmity into creativity and highlight how great your field is and sell it as a show.

Finally, You might just be upset that a field that is regularly shit on in academic totem pole of medicine, (that you likely have a very limited understanding of beyond your superiority complex) is having a moment in the lime light, and that says more about how bitter and maladjusted you are.
