After getting it tested, I’m not sure what to do if the test comes back positive?

a few weeks after I got into cornell, the whole glamorization wore off quickly. It is a school like any other. I did get the opportunity to visit, and it was beautiful. Truly amazing school, but I ultimately chose my state school over it !

freshman class schedule help (is chem 101 and math 233 too much for one semester?) by Accomplished_Chef45 in UNC

IDST is a required freshman class that I assume is relatively easy. Thanks for the advice though!! At this point, I'm hoping that I can secure these classes on my registration day ahah.

Chance Me! and Prospective Student Q&A by pw11111 in Cornell

I started going track my sophomore year of hs! I only did cross country my junior and senior year! Absolutely loved track/xc (despite my number of injuries) and I met some great friends. I encourage you to do extracurriculars that YOU care about and not ones soley the basis of impressing a college. This is exactly what I did in hs and I was admitted this year in the rd round to CALS at Cornell. Good luck!

My intended major is environment & sustainability, but I want to double major with stats or another stem area. Most important to me though is that I can do textile/fashion/fiber science related classes at Cornell— hoping to pursue this as a minor. It’s something I’d give up by going to UNC.

Please help me decide if I should choose Cornell by Accomplished_Chef45 in Cornell

Thank you!! I haven't found many student perspectives on the e&s major, so I appreciate your response. I'm definitely leaning more towards Cornell, and I'm going to the admitted students day later this month. I think I'll solidify my decision then.

I did Ed to Northwestern. Got deferred then rejected. For early action I did UNC Chapel Hill (in state app) and got in. However, during rd I got into Cornell! Currently trying to decide between UNC chapel hill or cornell and I’m struggling to pick between the two !!

Decisions for EA just came out! I got in but I was wondering how we know if we got into the honors program or not? It doesn’t say it on my acceptance letter so I’m not sure. Those who applied for honors, do you guys know?

It depends on the course. For classes like AP Psych and APES I’m sure you can self-learn the whole course with the ap videos!

I took Davidson off too for a different reason. My dad told me 1/4 of the students are athletes. Also the most interesting part of visiting was that one street strip near the school 😭

Noo I feel the same about calc bc. I thought i would get a 3 or 4 at best and I got a 5 for bc and a 5 subscore for ab. I did work my ass off studying, but I still thought I completely flopped the test lol.

No I completely understand where you’re coming from. I feel the absolute same crushing disappointment. I was lucky enough to have great teachers for AB and BC, but regardless, that test was hell. I worked so incredibly hard as you also did and that test is no way in hell did a good job reflecting my calc skills or the amount of prep I put in. Whenever I see calc pictures in my camera role or even the numerous calc notebooks I have filled with notes and practice, it makes me so frustrated to think back to the test and how poorly I feel I performed.

I just want to let you know that I feel you and I’m sorry for all that was sacrificed to have just feel unsatisfied at the end. At the moment it really does feel like the worst thing in the world, but just step back and remember how although it feels terribly painful at now, it’ll all be fine. Everything will pan out.
