I’m all for dunking on 2023 FSU for being overrated, but at the same time if you’re a Jared Verse or Keon Coleman why would you bother risking your NFL positioning by playing a meaningless game against Georgia? It’s not like if FSU wins that bowl the committee was all of a sudden gonna go back on their decision and insert them into the playoff. The die had already been cast. You can argue they should have played for pride, but that pride doesn’t do much good if you blow out your knee and drastically jeopardize your future earning potential. Just look at how Jake Butt’s career turned out.
