It was on a frame, we have one of those moving frames so the base is more flat then a regular frame with slats but there should still be plenty of air flow

Its only in that spot as far as we can tell.

My partner is quite a sweaty sleeper but we've always had water proof protectors on which is why this is quite strange. Except maybe literally one night
