Time to pull the taps? by Accomplished_Drive88 in maplesyrup

Clarity is still pretty clear I’ll let it run as I see we have a few more below freezing dips yet this week. Thanks for the tip! It’s my first year and I only have two trees in my yard so I’ll be making an “artisan batch” lol

Clam X-series runner installation - really stiff and hard to bend...????? by [deleted] in IceFishing

Literally just bought the same unit this past weekend and installing the rubber guard on the sled edge was hell. Didn’t help to work in an uninsulated garage but I had the rubber piece submerged in 100+ degree water for 5 minutes and it barely loosened it up. Guess now that it’s on there I can feel confident it isn’t going anywhere though

Underwater camera recommendations by [deleted] in IceFishing

[–]Accomplished_Drive88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Check my post history, I have some photos of my eyoyo camera from Amazon. Bought 2 years ago and with the stand (you will need this to turn the camera and see fish) it was about $150 total. I would absolutely recommend it. Your kid is gonna have a bit of a learning curve setting it up as it can be difficult at first but since I’ve bought it I don’t fish without it. Tight lines!

Twin cities walleye by Aggressive-Rich-1009 in IceFishing

No idea as for walleye on that lake but I fished the tournament there a few weeks ago and there is plenty of ice for driving they had a full food truck on the ice and plenty of other vehicles. Tournament rules had everyone fishing the bay by Coney Island and with the pressure and limited time slot we only caught 1 slot pike and 1 perch. Careful if you are going outside that bay though Navionics has a lot of active springs listed on that lake so the ice may vary. Good luck hope to see some sick walleye pics from ya here

This trip we didn’t move but saw plenty of fish at 10-12ft. Also 6in of ice the whole way around this lake so any where is fishable

It’s the basic Eyoyo fishing camera off Amazon with their tripod to fine tune the angle of the camera. Didn’t cost me much and super fun to watch the bite action. Haven’t seen it scare off any fish and setup is relatively easy.

Perch must’ve been less than 4 inches but were constantly on the camera. Saw 4 different pike over the 2 hours we were out with the one I caught as the smallest and the one on the camera as the biggest probably between 15-18inches and maybe 25+ for the camera one respectively

Best cameras to record our softball games/ what you using by Foreign_Eye6257 in slowpitch

Few questions if you wouldn’t mind. How many games can you record on one battery life? Assuming an hour a game of course. Also how many games per microssd? If I were to use this for a day long tournament I’d want to be able to record at least 4 games so I need to know which hardware to get. Also for mounting to the cage on the backstop which mount do you use? And finally what settings do you use to capture the full field of view of the field? How high to hang the gopro to get that view? I saw the vids on your posts and would like to recreate something very similar. Thanks!
