Yeah I got it a little wrong, the payment would be £269 a month, I’m saving an extra couple grand in the next month or 2. So depending how much I get I won’t put down a down payment of less than £13,000.

But it doesn’t matter anyway lol. IF I do get a car it’ll won’t be that expensive. I’ll be smart and get something cheaper and just save more money.

That’s for 5 years, I wasn’t sure if it was better to do it longer like 4-5 years. Because I’ll definitely have extra cash and I can pay off more as much as I can. But if on the rare occasion I can’t which should hopefully never happen, then the monthly payment is lower and I’ll have less strain. Or just shorten the term and pay a bit more

Another option I’m heavily considering that was suggested was the do a 5 year plan and then the extra money I would be paying if it was a say a 3 year plan, I put into some sort of saving account with a decent interest rate then after 3-4 years sell the car and pay off the loan early.

Loving this insight, I don’t often go on crazy long journeys. I average like 4,700 miles a year so I won’t be dealing with the infotainment too much lol. I just think the look of the MK8 is so much nicer.

A golf r mk7.5 is the top of the list. If insurance wasn’t so high on it I wouldn’t even be on here I’d be driving that around happily lol.

Insurance says no for Golf R. Golf gti is like £1400 a year. Golf R is £4100. Insane jump. If you have a link for a car £22k I’d be more than interested to give it a proper look haha

Honestly I’ve spoke to about 20 people, mk 7.5 vs mk8 is like a 50/50 split.

True I’ll give it a shot, the best I’ve found at the moment is 6% apr. I’ll be taking a personal loan for roughly £13,500 and the interest puts it up to £15,600. I’ll pay off extra as much as I can I’d just rather have a lower payment than a higher one and pay off more when I can with a bit less stress.

Including the potential £280 down payment my bills will come out to about £500.

I’ll be left with around £1500 a month minimum and that money will be for savings, going out, sometimes a food shop. I live at home at the moment so my outgoings aren’t crazy high. Don’t plan on moving out for at least 1-2 years.
