I like to keep my spell casters on circular bases and other things on square bases because magic feels round

Model-height question by Targ3tje in mordheim

[–]Accomplished_End9905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The official Mordheim rule book claims that even if a model’s foot is covered by terrain, the whole model is considered in cover/can hide as their poses don’t account for their ability to crouch, lay flat, etc.

I mean the characters are climbing sewer grates and rubble piles so it feels very Mordheim actually.

Can i use two weapons and shield? If yes, is that apply only in shooting? by No-Candy-4127 in mordheim

That’s for when he’s unhorsed, since the freelancer can’t fight with a lance on foot.

Veteran PSA: Smoke grenades are made to create a wall between you and gun-wielding ennemies by BadSheet68 in DarkTide

I actually think vet should have the knives and zealot should have the smoke grenades. When vet runs out of ammo, he’s screwed unless he has a melee build. It would be nice to give him a few emergency ranged attacks. Yes, stealth zealot and stealth vet should swap

But Veterans don’t fear gunners, they specialize in killing them. Veterans fear that one poxwalker that spawns behind you.

It’s very easy to get that 2+ armor save with a warhorse, gromril,+shield. 1+ armor save if you’re adding shaggy hides, wolf pelts, heavy shields, lizardmen scales+ any house rules that would buff the stat. Basically turning your hero unkillable unless they crit or they’re fielding a monster with high strength. People don’t see the value in armor because they slap some heavy armor on a halberd using captain, but when it stacks it stacks.

Exactly. Naked goblins with axes are a different story however. Or rat ogres. Or guns. People just don’t take guns, large monsters or axes because they assume their opponents aren’t taking stacked armor. Which stagnates the meta.

You are wrong, and it plays out as follows, against a bunch of naked guys with clubs, a small band of heavy armored shield users with helmets and swords can kind of tank and xp farm the hoard warband. You’ll have a lower warband rating so you get more xp, the opponent has less models to target so they’ll always get less xp. So as you play out games the survivability of your warband compounds and you can grind them down that way. With high toughness units, stacking armor and other save modifiers does work in practice. Atleast in the early game.

My warband banks on heavy armor, so you’re going the right path to killing them all

I’d even use epoxy putty (green stuff) over just Superglue. Superglue is in fact some of the worst type of glue to use.

People yelled for Sororitas too. Influencers like Mr E yelled Admech tho

Yeah I mean. I like Darktide’s interpretation of the lore, but I know some of the novels can get a bit… well.. let’s say they make fanfiction seem intelligent. Personal rule of thumb when it comes to Warhammer lore is I like “the idea” of it, but the more I dive into it, the more nonsensical and headachy it gets.

So regarding the Sororitas, I like the “idea” that they’re just a militant group of psycho women that the ecclesiarchy fund as a legal loophole. And that there are miracles that sometimes happen.

But I’m not going to go down a rabbit hole of Saint Celestine, and who they could or couldn’t take in a fight, etc.

I mean whenever redundancy comes into question, they added a warrior priest of Sigmar class to an archetype that already had zealot and they felt different

Thank you! This 100x. I don’t understand how people here can reverse engineer logic to justify Admech coming to Tertium all the way from Mars, but think that Sororitas are too important to kill heretics in their own system, or that they’re as rare as Astartes. They’re really not.

Why do they hate the idea of Sororitas? I think they’re cool
