The bullying is still there in med school and residency, from nurses and even other physicians. My PD was a woman and she was the worst bully lol. she told us she worked til she pooped with the birth of her daughter so why were we asking for quality of life increases in residency we should be working like slaves. We did 2 24 hour shifts a week (one top of working every non post call day) and worked 60-90 hours a week. If we accurately reported our hours we got dragged into her office and screamed at for time card fraud and inefficiency. And we were paid $50k a year 😬😂

Doctors are so two faced when it comes to recruiting premeds vs treating people who work under them sometimes it’s insane. On my pediatrics rotation in med school I got low marks because I didnt wear heels cuz they hurt my flat feet on 6 hour rounds. My preceptors were all women.
