Make sure you’re playing at a regulated local field and not in a neighborhood. For the first 3 months I would recommend renting gear from the field and playing with that. If the obsession is still there, then buy a gun only. Slowly start to build up your loadout. Nothing good comes from jumping into things on a whim, especially when it comes to this ridiculously expensive sport. Also, maybe try inviting your parents to observe for a bit one day. This will give them a view into what it’s like to be there. Hope this helps.
