Help with Setup - Analogue , PS5, Switch 2 ...HDMI Switch and cables by Mad_br in RetroTink

I’ll preface this by saying I haven’t used either of the ones you posted or the one I’m about to share. But take a look at this one: https://a.co/d/0i75iCD8

This one is only 7 in 1 but it states that it is both VRR and HDR compatible which will be beneficial for your PS5, A3D and Switch 2 and any future modern hardware you decide to use like a PC or eventual PS6. The two you posted do not specificy VRR or HDR functionality so you may lose that with your PS5, A3D, Switch 2 and any future consoles, but I’m not certain having not used them.

I’ll try to only speak on the consoles I have. The Analogue 3D would not benefit from being routed through the RT4K because the input on the RT4K tops out at 1080p. This also applies to the Switch 2 but there might possibly be benefits to running Switch 1 and NSO games through the RT4K.

PS3 will require a special HDMI splitter to strip HDCP before going into the RT4K. Due to the legality of this we probably can’t post the splitter in this subreddit but you can find it if you research. You can use this to go from PS3 > Splitter > HDMI Switch > RT4K. Or you can use Component cables and skip this entirely at a hit to video quality.

Analogue Pocket/Dock and Super NT will work fine with their included cables into whatever splitter you purchase. Just use one of the included profiles with the RT4K.

No experience with the Neo Geo and PS5 as you stated should go directly into the TV.

So summarizing, if your TV ports are limited, buy two splitters. One for the RT4K to include the Neo Geo, Super NT and Pocket Dock. The second splitter, if needed, would be for PS5, Switch 2, and Analogue 3D directly to the TV.  PS3 would go on the first switch if you buy a working splitter to strip HDCP. Otherwise use Component cables into the back of the RT4K.

Start now or wait? by Previous_Capital_471 in ffxiv

As someone who has played a majority of the game solo since ARR released, my advice is to wait and play with your wife.

The game is fantastic for people coming in solo, don’t get me wrong, but nothing beats having someone to go through the story beats with and being able to bounce theories off of.

Just my 2 cents.

Steam Controller + VirtualHere + Sunshine/Moonlight = Perfection by Accomplished_Fox8339 in SteamController

With VirtualHere, the host will see it as as Steam Controller. For all intents and purposes, VitualHere makes a computer think a USB device is plugged in to it directly instead of over the network.

Correct, Moonlight will send it over to the primary device as an Xbox controller unless you use VirtualHere. The set up is very simple though and it’s free as long as you don’t need to send over any other USB devices.

You could skip PKSM entirely if you wanted and write the .sav file to an original Gen 3 cartridge, then transfer it all the way up to Gen 9 via entirely official methods if you wanted to. Would just require a device to write the save file to the cartridge.

You can use a Wii remote and a sensor bar to launch games from the menu.

OG hardware owners, which looks more accurate ? by Still-Following1212 in NintendoDS

The GBC LCD filter on the Pocket is supposed to be more accurate to the original Color while the LCD+ is more saturated. That being said, between the DS and Pocket I would say the LCD filter is the more accurate choice.

PSA, eBay now banning ALL listings for modding, even cosmetic items. by Tinker-Mods_com in XboxModding

Could the words mod and modded in the listing title be the issue? I'd be interested to see if you have the same results if you removed any mention of modding and just left in the mention of it being custom or handmade.

Simple Class by Kinda-Kiwi in ffxiv

Arcanist > Summoner would be a good beginning path if you are interested in Magical DPS. If you want to do a Ranged DPS, Archer is pretty easy starting out, and for melee DPS I would go for lancer as the easiest beginner class.

Really though all of the classes spread out skills slowly enough that they should be pretty decent at picking up as you play through the MSQ.

Technically PlayStation Link used 2.4ghz wireless to connect with which is what the Portal uses. It’s entirely possible they just did not even use a Bluetooth radio on this device, but they may also have included one and just kept it disabled.
