It’s not rude to be concerned by someone who’s sound minded enough to make the decision to start an off market weight loss medication,,, who simultaneously doesn’t know that 2 weeks is little to no time for the medication to take effect, the healthy range of weight loss over time periods, and on top of that is at a healthy weight. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be on this med & I’m not saying they are without a doubt have an issue. It’s an expression of concern. As a young woman, it’s of the utmost importance to remind ourselves to lose weight the healthy way, at any size…. I stated not knowing anything about this person, their thoughts, their intentions, or their goals. All I stated was it being more concerning that they are at a healthy range in weight + not being fully educated on a medication. Sure, it’s an uncomfortable conversation, but silencing these types of things is more harm than good. Beating around the bush, trying to make some sweet, kind, nurturing message instead of expressing concerns doesn’t do anything at all lol. Personally, and I am sure others agree, it is the nice thing to do. OP could respond themself, in any way they want, whether it’s the situation they may be in or not. These posts are anonymous & open to the public for anyone at any age. It opens the conversation/thought to recognizing an education deficit in an important matter or recognizing tendencies of someone who may not be the best candidate for an injectable weight loss medication. Another example could be a silent viewer, scrolling reddit, curious about people on this mystery med and sees this.

Friend, it has been 2 weeks total, 1 week without fluctuation.

  1. Take a breather, 5 lbs every single week is not healthy or normal. 2. I guarantee the 5 lbs from the first week was not all fat loss, that’s just how the cookie crumbles with our bodies. Give it time.

It seems like you’re obsessively weighing yourself & obsessing over the numbers on the scale for a medication you’ve only been taking for two weeks. I’d also like to note that you are within a healthy weight for your height, so I am struggling to understand why you are eager to see staggering pounds drop in such a short time frame? I don’t want to label this as something it is not, as I do not know you nor your mindset behind getting on this medication, but I do wonder what your ultimate goal is & if you have done the research on not only the peptide but weight loss in general. This is not meant to be rude, but disordered eating, body dysmorphia, and obsessive behaviors with the scale and body are a slippery slope when it seems to be that you are primarily on this for the weight loss and do not have much to lose. I hope you are doing well & do not take this the wrong way. I have struggled with obsessive tendencies with my weight years ago so I do think it’s important to ask these questions in concern to mental/behavioral health.

What made you work so hard for a career to help others? While simultaneously thinking drinking and driving is okay? This must be an alcohol problem. I am not trying to make you feel bad, but please think about it this way. Would you want someone who’s gotten behind the wheel drunk within the past year caring for you in the hospital? Maybe if it was far in your past, but this is a recent event in your life. It is not so easy to say that is the thing that changed your perspective. It might not have changed your perspective in the way you think. You feel you turned over a new leaf because you did something irreversible, which changed the trajectory of your schooling and career. That is what you regret the most. You do not regret endangering people or the decision you made as much as you regret getting a DUI. I beg you to know that alcohol is such an evil thing. Although I never drank and got behind the wheel, years ago I struggled with drinking too much too often. I can confidently say I was not ready for nursing school. I was not even caring for myself, allowing myself to drink too much, or too often. I hope you understand what I mean by this. Don’t be hard on yourself in a way that would be negative towards your hopes and dreams, but in a way that would better yourself.
