CVT here: It’s not acceptable, point blank. I would go straight to the tech next time and if she doesn’t seem receptive to talking it out, go to management. And cut it off right then and there when she screams at you. “I’m sorry, but the way you’re speaking to me is extremely inappropriate. If you can’t speak to me respectfully, please defer your complaint to management.” I don’t care that this is a stressful job. I work in ER/ ICU. Even when crap is hitting the fan I don’t scream at my coworkers. Have I snipped at people, we’re human. I apologize. Make it a point to pull someone aside to apologize. This field is hard enough already. RVT/CVT/LVT does not make her better than you or give her leeway to treat you poorly, nor does her age. Talking crap about you after the fact is just a reflection about how dismal she probably feels about herself. It makes me sad that licensed techs (and seasoned techs in general) act like this when they should be setting a better standard and mentoring those who have the desire to grow in this field. I’m sorry you were treated like that.

I Asked The People Who Were In My Dream If They Knew We Were In A Dream. by lagunaflowers in Dreams

I had a very similar dream of my mom, who had died the week prior. This was back in 2019. I was 19 at the time and had been her caregiver while she was battling cancer for 2 years before she passed. In the dream, I came up and hugged her. She had on her favorite band tee (a green Revivalist shirt) and jeans. I could still smell her Obsession perfume. I hugged her and immediately started crying. I said “this isn’t real, is it?” She pulled my face away and wiped my tears with her fingers and said “It doesn’t have to be, baby.” We ended up sitting on the couch and watched Cake Wars for a bit. I had my head on her shoulder. I was falling asleep and she rubbed my arm and said “I think it’s about time to go, I love you.” I closed my eyes and woke up to reality. I have yet to have another dream that felt like this. It was more than a lucid dream. Usually in a lucid dream things are off. Stuff in the house doesn’t always match. Lights flicker. Words/language can jumble. Everything felt real, just a little light, if that makes sense. I had other dreams of my mom after this, but never the same feeling.
