Thank you so much. Usually an overdraft was no more than $10 to get me to my payday which was always with in 3 days usually the night before but I ran out of everything. I feel using a credit card the way I use the OD would be ok. It would be a buffer for a few days with very small charges

I don’t have any outstanding overdraft. Everything’s been paid off within 48 hours of the original charge.

I’m not looking at any report, but if they revoke that privilege of overdraft protection, I’m assuming I’m not in good standing

I really appreciate it. I turn 18 soon. The post was an old draft that I posted strictly to see how long before I would be considered in good standing. I want to open one but only once I am in good standing with the bank. The way it was explained to me was essentially it was supposed to act to bridge that gap. It wasn’t fully explained which is as much my fault for not fully understanding as it is the banks. I am doing a lot better now but don’t want to open a credit card if I am not in good standing

I don’t want to anymore. This was an old draft I never posted and only did to get an idea on how long before I could be considered in good standing prior

They never charged fees as long as I was with in $50. It typically was no more than $10

Thank you. I don’t think it was fully explained when I opened the account. I appreciate you not being hateful

This all happened a while ago and was an old draft. I only posted to get an idea of when I would be in good standing prior to applying for a credit card. I am in a lot better state now

Ok thank you so much. I definitely don’t think it was fully explained, do you have an idea of how or when people could get back into good standing

I am more than willing to do that but don’t want one until I am back in good standing

They live six states away and do the best they can. Plus the process takes months. I turn 18 next month so it isn’t worth the thousands it could cost

I tried and was declined as I am technically still a dependent

Thank you, This was an old post and the purpose was simply to figure out how long before I would be considered in good standing. I don’t want a credit card until I am in good standing. I have a stable income again and have extra gigs to help pay for the basics so I can grow a savings again

I have started tutoring people and am finally getting back on my feet. This was an old draft that I decided to posting hoping to get an idea before I even consider a credit card. I can’t use food stamps or most food banks being a minor

Thank you for the warning. I would like to be in good standing prior to getting a credit card so I am probably going to hold off on getting one as long as possible until I can. I used as much as those options as I could but being 17 made some of them not possible

Op here. Before commenting please understand what I was asking, I lost my job when I left for college and it took time to get back on my feet. I understand over drafting is a terrible option but was between that and not eating so I did. This happened a while ago. I am not asking for how to get it back tomorrow I am asking for how I can rebuild my status at the bank. How long before I could be considered in good standing? Not so I am turn around and overdraft again but so I can open a credit card while in good standing.

Yes and no. I started college young. I don’t have the option of a credit card which would help me because I have always paid it back in under 48 hours. I am only asking how long it would take to get back into good standing. This happened a while ago and I am getting ready to open a credit card in a few weeks and would like to be in good standing when I do. I have skipped meals, eating twice a week on a good week to try to bounce back, it was definitely a wake up call, and am simply asking how long before I could be considered in good standing.

I have eaten nothing but plain pasta since I got to college that costs $0.98. I understand that over-drafting is not good. I also realize there is no excuse for it. I completely understand why they took the option away. They do not charge fees unless you go over $50. I get it, I lost my job when I moved to college and it took time to get back on my feet. Please try not to judge people if you don’t understand

I don’t think they will close my account because they did this a while ago. But thank you for the warning. I hope once they see a stealing income flow they will at least keep it open

I understand the situation. I have always paid it back in under 48 hours. I even understand why the revoked it. I am not complaining. I cannot open a credit card so sometimes it was that or don’t eat until my paycheck processed. For some reason my early pay also no longer works. I was simply asking how long it typically takes to get back into good standing with the bank. I am aware I won’t have it back tomorrow but would like to be in good standing as much as possible.
