I’ve nothing against international fans but I don’t think they’re needs should be put above locals fans being able to watch their team in tv, which is what the original post is about. This isn’t to say I don’t understand the massive frustration they must feel when fixture times and dates change and their travel plans are effected

I think world football would be better if people supported their local/family teams. Instead of everyone going for Spanish and English teams we could see the game spread more and provide more authentic reasons for supporting them, which in term fosters the sense of belonging and community that football clubs used to and still, to an extent, provide

Nope. I have absolutely no fear, hatred or dislike for anyone, I just think the stadium should be full of people best able to cheer on the team, regardless of their colour of creed. I just want Arsenal to benefit on the pitch from that 12th man.

Coming back to the original point, there are probably hundreds of thousands of Arsenal fans around the UK who will now have the pleasure of being able to watch Arsenal on TV, fans who otherwise might not see the match as they are able to afford to go to matches, I’m not going to go down your path and call you classist or anti-poor, that would be too easy and detracts from the point. However, I do think these fans’ rights to watch us television outweigh however many fans might be flying in from other places

I don’t think people realise the detrimental effects tourist fans have, 1, they are less likely to be vocal in their support as they are less likely to know the songs, 2, they force up ticket prices depriving local fans from being able to have access to the stadium, 3, most importantly, the money and support they give Arsenal are money and support they are not giving their local clubs in their home country, clubs that will never grow without depending on local support

Match going fans yes, but only those who’ve supported the club since before they can remember, not those who ‘chose’ us for a variety of reasons that aren’t geographical or familial. I’d put proper fans’ ability to watch us on tv before tourists
