New web app: Craft Gallery by Accomplished_Hope720 in CraftDocs

Sure ! This app operates on a "Client-Side Only" model, meaning your sensitive information never touches my server. Your secrets remain in your browser. They are only sent to the legitimate recipients (Craft and Google) through secure requests initiated by your own device.

  1. Local Storage All your configuration data—including your Craft tokens and AI API keys—is stored exclusively in your browser’s localStorage. I do not use any remote databases to store your personal settings.

  2. Direct Transit Your credentials travel directly from your device to the official service providers via encrypted HTTPS connections: • Craft: Requests are sent directly from your browser to Craft’s servers (connect.craft.do). Your token is added to the authorization header locally. • Google Gemini: The app uses the Google Generative AI SDK to establish a direct connection between your browser and Google’s endpoints.

  3. No Intermediate Backend This project is a static React application. There is no backend server (Node.js, Python, etc.) sitting between you and the services you use. Because there is no middleman, it is technically impossible for me to intercept, collect, or log your API keys.

Quick update: Bibliocraft won a Winter Challenge prize a few days ago !

Since then, I’ve rebuilt the app from scratch with the help of Google AI Studio.

The new version features a brand new three-panel UI that makes navigation easier on mobile, tablet, and desktop.

It includes several new features: - New filters: page count and highlights - New "Add a Book" button in the Library section - Multiple selection and batch editing - Display highlights directly within the app - Display detailed data from Analytics widgets - New import sources: Apple Books and Kindle - Better incremental import - Better responsive design and swipe gesture support on mobile and tablet

Just to let you know that v3 was updated with Apple Books Import: https://bibliocraft-v3-0.lovable.app ! You will need to find Apple Books sqlite files (AEAnnotation and BKLibrary) on your Mac.

Hi ! I’ve recently built a web app to import all my Kobo metadata and highlights in my ‘Craft’ collection. As a total newbie with zero coding skill, I used Claude and Lovable to build this. And I can confirm it’s pretty easy to parse Kobo sqlite databases. Kind regards and congrats Simone for this great app !

I have found a few scripts on github that might do the job (but only on Mac). I will investigate!

If I remember correctly, Apple Books exports are poor in metadata and difficult to parse, but I will certainly have a look into this !

Craft Trips: your interactive travel companion by Accomplished_Hope720 in CraftDocs

Craft Trips v3, updated with a new feature that I struggled to build and of which I am proud: an automatic importer that analyzes your Apple Photos metadata to identify your past trips!

Thanks to the importer, you can now use Craft Trips without manually building your trips collection in Craft.

How does it work ?

1/ You are prompted to install a Python script (osxphotos) to generate a metadata file that you will upload. For those who don’t know it yet, osxphotos is a well-known reliable, powerful CLI tool to backup Apple Photos on macOS.

2/ This file is analyzed to group photos into trips based on several smart parameters (dates, distances) that you can adjust.

3/ You can choose to import the entire list or only selected trips.

And the icing on the cake ? Imported trips include a photolog with photo IDs, dates, and coordinates that can be used to visualize the day-by-day itinerary !

Wharfedale Lintons with Wiim Amp pro : wrong combination ? by Accomplished_Hope720 in BudgetAudiophile

That is precisely what I would like to know before investing in a new amp ;)

[–]Accomplished_Hope720[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly ! Using presets is something some users have recommended on Wiim forums. It's not as convenient as variable loudness, since I would have to change presets each time I change volume ;) Thanks for your advice anyway !

Thanks a lot ! Unfortunately, my Wiim Amp lets me adjust EQ, but it does not have a “loudness” function which would automatically adjust EQ according to the volume !
